Chapter 10

"I'll bring this to your room," Louis said.

Tumango ako at nakangiting sinalubong ang yakap ni Brion. Binuhat ko siya at dinala sa sofa para makaupo kami, he's heavy.

"Mommy bakit po hindi kayo sumabay ni daddy?"

Huh? I thought he wanted to be with tita kaya hindi siya nakasama sa'min?

"Ha? Uhm.."

"Diba gusto mo sa'min sumama Brion?" Tita awkwardly laughed and carried him.

"Gusto ko sumama kila mommy--"

"Katherine, I think Brion's need to sleep." Ngiti ni tita sa'kin.

So they're the one who planned this? Every time na pumupunta ako, gumagawa sila ng paraan para magkaroon kami ni Louis ng alone time. I think they're still hoping for us to get back together.

"Ganun po ba? Ako na po ang mag papatulog sa kanya." I smiled back at kinuha si Brion sa kanya.

Tumango naman siya at binigay sa'kin si Brion. I can still remember every corner of this house, wala naman kasing nag bago.

Nagtimpla ako ng gatas para kay Brion at inayos ang higaan niya.

"Mommy sing for me..." He said.

I used to sing for him before going to sleep pero hindi ko nagawa yun ever since nung nagkita kami, since I always fall asleep.

"Okay... basta sleep ka na ha?" I said.

"Hush now, my Brion... Close your eyes and sleep," He closed his eyes a bit, but he's still looking at me.

"Waltzing the waves... Diving the deep, Stars are shining bright,"

Hinimas ko ang ulo niya at ngumiti. Finally he closed his eyes with the baby bottle in his mouth, It's not hard to make him sleep dahil sobrang hyper niya lagi.

"The wind is on the rise, Whispering words of long lost lullabies." (Song of the sea) I ended the song with a hum.

Hindi na ako tumuloy dahil tulog na siya. I kissed him on the forehead and slowly removed the bottle from his mouth. I stood up at pagkalingon ko bumungad sa'kin si Louis na nakatayo sa likuran ko.

"It's been a long time since I heard you sing," he said.

Yeah... it's been a long time.---

-Flashback-

"Baby! Hayaan mo na sila diyan, let's go to the garden!" I shouted.

Nakatayo si Louis kasama sila Vector. He chuckled at nagpaalam na sa kanila. Tumakbo ako papuntang garden at sumunod siya. I sat on the grass as I watch him walk towards me.

Nilapag niya yung case ng gitara niya sa tabi ko. Tumawa siya ng mahina at humiga sa hita ko.

"You're always snatching me away from my friends..." He said and smiled.

"I want to be with you," I ran my fingers through his hair. Nagtama ang tingin namin.

We stared at each other like there's no tomorrow. I love him so much, I don't know if I'll be able to find someone better than him.

Dinaan ko ang daliri ko sa mata niya para isara 'yon.

"What?" He laughed.

"Pangit kaya ng anggulo ko diyan."

"You're beautiful in any way baby." Uminit ang pisngi ko sa sinabi niya.

He's not usually a sweet talker pero ngayon ang sweet niya kaya naman kinikilig ako. Kahit naman mag suplado siya mas lalo ko siyang nagugustuhan.

I honestly don't want that relationship na super sweet that they almost cling at each other everytime tapos mga nag lo-long message pa.

I just think it's childish. Anyway that's just my opinion.

"Pupunta ako sa gig mo mamaya,"

"Really? Won't your mom get mad?"

Mom met him and she trust him. Mabait naman kasi si Louis at walang bisyo.

"Uhm... as long as you're taking me home?"

Minulat niya ang mata niya at ngumiti. I'm planning something later and I hope he'll like it. It's our first anniversary and I want it to be special. After class we went to the restaurant/bar where he will perform.

Suprisingly ang ganda dito compared sa mga last niya na gig, Hindi na ako magtataka. He's talented.

"Baby, I'll be back." I said.

I need to plan things smoothly.

"Okay po...." The manager and the band said.

Louis is in the backstage practicing his song, Ngumiti ako nung makita siya.

"Hey,"

"Where did you go? I missed you." He said.

He moved his hand on my waist and pulled me closer to him. Napatili ako ng mahina dahil sa gulat pero ngumiti din ako nung inupo niya ako sa hita niya.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"Always." The band introduced him at lumabas na siya sa stage. Umalis ako ng backstage at lumipat sa table na kaharap ng mini stage.

Nagtama ang tingin namin and we smiled at each other. I can't explain how much I love him. I don't think I'll fall out of love or even forget my feelings from him.

"Tonight... is a special day for me," He started. Tinignan niya ako.

"This was the day when the girl I truly love, became my girlfriend..." Ngumiti ako.

I thought he forgot, hindi niya kasi ako binati nung umaga. Maybe that's why he's extra sweet today.

"Katherine, my love, I love you more than anyone in this world."

Lumapit siya sa'kin at may kinuha sa bulsa niya. He insert a ring in my index finger, is this a promise ring? Oh my God?

"I promise... to love you forever." He cupped both of my cheeks with his hands.

"I love you too," He slowly move his face closer to mine but I stopped him.

Tumakas ako at umakyat ng stage. Halata sa mukha niya ang gulat.

"What?" He mouthed.

"You thought you're the only one who prepared something?"

Nakita ko ang pagpigil niya ng ngiti, he's so cute lalo na pag kinikilig siya. Nilingon ko ang banda at nag sign na ready na ako.

"Looks like we made it, Look how far we've come, my baby," He looked at me with pure love in his eyes, I love looking at him when he look at me like that.

"We might a took the long way, We knew we'd get there someday," "They said, 'I bet they'll never make it.' But just look at us holding on, We're still together, still going strong...."
