Ruby`s POV
So here I was minding my own business and sulking by myself. But then with my advanced Vampire hearing, I heard the sound of beating wings from something landing right behind me.
As soon as I heard a sniff and the intake of breath, I quickly moved instantly blurring away from my spot.
And I was right to do so as I was now left staring with wide eyes at all the flames released. Watching as they burnt away the whole spot where I had been sitting at.
The thought of how I could have been burnt to crisp just like that, quickly made me snap!
And as I stared at the perpetrator, I seemed to not care that he was a giant fire breathing Red Dragon. I had already seen a Fairy, a troll, and giant ants! So I was already so over being shocked,
Without missing a beat, I instead quickly started shouting, letting out all my frustrations!
“You are so RUDE! How DARE You just come out of bloody NOWHERE and decide "OH YEAH" let me burn this innocent person to death? What the Hell did I ever Bloody do to you HUH????” I was now yelling and screaming without a care in this strange world.
Even letting out all the bad swear words I had heard in my life too.
Seeming to also have a nasty temper just like me, the intruding Red Dragon quickly breathed out more flames. Trying to burn me to death AGAIN!
I quickly blurred away in time too and successfully avoided them.
And continued my charade of yelling and shouting.
I was going to make him hear and feel each word.
I wanted him to regret disturbing me when I had just been sitting there peaceful and not bothering anyone!
What Kind of a ruthless being was he? I was tired of dealing with males like him all wanting to kill me from those two hard-headed Vampire hunters and now him, this Dragon creature.
But during my yelling, I did not see it coming as a Red spiked tail, swept at my feet, unexpectedly. Causing me to stumble and fall down that long dangerous cliff.
The last thing I saw was an evil smirk on that Red evil dragon`s face!
And I was now screaming for my life, begging for anyone or anything to save me. I could not die like this.
I closed my eyes ready to feel my body plummet to the ground but instead, I felt something sharp grabbing me.
I had to look with wide eyes as I found myself in the hold of huge black talons.
It was a very huge Eagle almost the size of a Dragon that had just saved and grabbed me in its clutches.
My heart rate spiked a bit as I stared down at how high we were flying. The possibility of me falling again if that huge bird decided to let me go. I hoped it would not.
Luckily it started descending as we were further away.
First throwing me right into a pile of leaves, it followed landing too. But I was shocked to see that it had a rider too.
After getting off it, the rider first made sure to pet it on the head as if to say, good job.
He looked weird with really palish white skin. Much worse than my Vampire one.
Then were these really strange shaped pointy ears he had. He was very handsome too in an unreal and mystical kind of way. Long white hair adorned his head with an ice crystal blue crown on top.
“What…are you?” I asked and quickly realized I was being rude by not thanking him first for saving my life.
But as I walked over to thank him, he gave me a confused look as if he could not understand what language I was speaking.
But instead drew out his beautiful ice crystal designed sword to point at me so I would not come closer to him.
I tried reading his mind as I had done with Tor the Troll to understand his language. But this one`s mind was impenetrable. I felt as if I was hitting against a steel cage mind wall.
It made me wonder how he could do that, block his mind so easily. He radiated strong magic too.
“Can you understand what I am saying?” I asked again and he replied. But I also could not understand his language too or the words coming out of his mouth.
I really wanted him to know that I was not a threat so I moved further away and raised my hands to show that I was not planning to attack him.
He first stared at me as if he was in thought. Next, he whispered something into his pet eagle and it flew away leaving us to just stand there, staring at each other. Hs cautious suspicious eyes meeting my innocent ones.
His pet eagle was soon back with this blue-looking fruit which I could not recognize.
The male, he threw it to me. Motioning for me to pick it up and eat it.
Although feeling cautious as it could be poison, I still picked it up, moved it to my mouth, and took a bite. Trying to show him that I trusted him to not harm me.
It tasted very delicious that I quickly gobbled it all up. I was still starved and thirsty too. I knew my eyes were already reddish by now
As soon as I did, I felt that feeling you get from a brain freeze, and then it was gone.
“Can you now understand me? Because I have some questions,” I heard the strange-looking male speak.
But I was instead amazed at how I could now so easily understand what he was saying. All just from eating a blue fruit.
“What questions?” I replied back and was surprised to hear my voice come out sounding different. As if I was now too speaking his language instead of mine.
“You are a Dragon are you not, so why did you not shift and fly on your own when you fell,” He asked giving me a curious but cautious-filled look too. Still pointing his sword at me.
“I am not a Dragon and I cannot fly!” I answered back amazed at how I had been mistaken to be a Dragon. Was it my fiery attitude maybe?
“Oh good, for I was about to take you, prisoner. If not a Dragon, then what are you, and which kingdom do you hail from,” he added while withdrawing his ice made sword.
“Well you first buddy, what are you,” I retorted back defensively. I did not know how he would react if I said where I came from. Maybe they hated people from earth.
I really did not want to have him too, try to kill me.
“I am an Elf. I am Prince Daki`th of the Elven Kingdom.” He replied adding an elegant bow too.
Hearing that almost made me want to smack myself on the forehead. As I should have known he was an Elf from the start because of the pointy ears.
“Now you, if you are not a Dragon female then what are you? You even have the same red eyes as Dragon Prince Kai,” he said with a suspicious look,
“I…well…I am from earth,” I replied instead while also not knowing who this Prince Kai was.
“A human, earthling!” He instead shouted with a bewildered look which turned from suspicion to high curiosity.
I would have told him I was Vampire, not a human but I did not think it would make a difference.
“How did you even get here? And I want you to tell me everything about earth!” He continued with the questions and an excited tone now in his voice. Even moving closer to me.
“Ah yes well, I will tell you all you need to know. But first I need your help on how to return back home.” I said back, already missing my home.
“Sure, come with me, earthling! I know my mother will have all the answers you need.” He replied while confidently getting on his pet eagle.
“Your eagle is beautiful,” I could not help say the compliment, now having a close up look at the huge bird as I moved closer.
It was not an ordinary eagle, looking to have the body, tail, and back legs of a lion but with the head and wings of an eagle.
“It’s a Griffin which we Elves use to roam the skies and when facing Dragons. I am guessing you don’t have these on earth? “As he said this, he lend me his hand and helped me get on the huge creature.
“Well, we do have airplanes, but they are just machines and not animals,” I replied now secure in my seat behind him and wrapping my hands around him so I would not fall.
At his command, the Griffin quickly started beating its wings, and then off we went flying high in the sky. Headed to the Elf Kingdom to go see the Elf Prince`s mother and the Queen.
I hoped she would have the answers I needed, for I really wanted to go back home. This world was too weird as hell for me.
