The next day a burner phone came for me. A small, outdated, black flip phone that only had 3 contacts in it. I laughed when I saw the names of them, all characters from each of our favorite movies. Something that no one but our inner circle would know. Brandi wasn’t even there for movie nights enough to guess.
No note, not that I needed one to know what this was for, what this meant. Our pack was infiltrated, and we didn’t know outside of our circle who to trust. We found cameras but what else was there? We had to start fresh, and this was the first step.
One text was unread from Buttercup, Jackson’s new name, his favorite movie being The Princess Bride. Nothing but coordinates and a meeting time at 3 AM, and telling me not to come home before then.
