I nodded at the two warriors flanking me and they returned the gesture. We waited for a few more moments, assessing their numbers. I got the information I needed and turned to run, shifting in midair, making sure they weren’t far behind me.
The two warriors that flanked me ran in different directions to meet up with the teams we left behind.
It was difficult to keep the right pace, I wanted to be just out of their reach but not too far that I would lose them, or that they could catch me, I knew my warriors were far enough ahead that they wouldn't be able to come back in time, I wouldn't risk them for this. This was my idea and I would take the biggest risk, it didn't hurt that I was the fastest.
