Mia hated her dress… well she hated it on her. Lucy stood beside Mia her own measurements being taken and a blond women on the floor hemming the dress while Mia stood deathly still. She didn’t feel beautiful in this dress, she felt… she didn’t know what she felt but it wasn’t beautiful or confident which was how she was meant to feel.
The red dress she wore was bound to draw attention something she didn’t want, her mum was not hearing any of it when she said she liked the pale pink one, it will wash you out she was told. The striking red dress was big and puffy the silky material was nice against her smooth skin but the tight bodes sinched in her already slender waist, she wanted her waist to look this small maybe even smaller if they brought it in a little more…
No.
No this was toxic, she needed this dress off.

Mia POV
‘I don’t like the dress mum.’ Her head whipped to me an unimpressed look on her face. She looked me up and down, analysing me and the dress. She had told the women who were tending to us to see if they could find matching shoes and jewellery.
‘Why? it’s a beautiful dress,’
‘Not on me it’s not.’ The overwhelming urge to cry pushed past my mental shield I had built willing myself not to have a public brake down. Telling myself that I was okay, that there was no need to cry wasn’t working, I was going to loose it in the middle of the shop. There was no straps or sleeves to the dress just bunched red fabric that draped off my shoulders. My arms were on display I hated it. The big puffy skirt made me look huge.
‘Mia’
‘I hate it can I just take it off?’ I was crying it was like she didn’t care but when I started yanking at the sides to pull it looser her hard eyes softened before she ebbed away that emotion.
‘It looks fine.’
‘No mum, I hate it.’ I knew I sounded and acted like a spoilt brat as the lady besides getting a wedding dress fitted gave me a dirty look before muttering something to the women accompanying her.
‘Wow, I don’t think I have ever heard someone say they hated one of my designs, can’t please everyone I suppose.’ I gasped I had no idea Mary Parker was here. It made me feel sick I knew mum was going to scold me but when Mary stepped forward she had an understanding look on her face as she assed the dress and how much fabric had been pinned in the back to make it fit. ‘When I first started fitting you…’ She began undoing the pin behind my back. ‘You had an envious figure, I would have killed to look like you but here I am two kids later with weight that just won’t shift. Then one day I noticed how you came to me with baggier clothes never dressed how you use to. Then all of your event wear was being taken in by inches every month. It made you smile knowing we needed to take in your dresses again.’ she helped me down from the platform I was stood upon leading me away to a rack of new dresses. ‘I knew you had a problem before anyone else did, I could see you wasting away how you’re measurements were becoming smaller and smaller. I should have reached out and I’m sorry.’
It wasn’t her fault, what was she going to do? Anything Mary could of said I would not have listened to anyway. She pulled a grey dress from the rack and held it up to me. It had sheer sleeves and covered the whole of the dress. Layers upon layers of grey and a dark murky purple for the skirt made it flair out and added depth enough so no one could see through to the lining. Pretty details of light grey ivory and flowers stitched onto the bodes slowly made its way down the skirt and over the sleeves until it faded. The sheer boat neckline added a nice touch as it provided more coverage than the sweet heart neckline that was visible under the sheerness.
‘Why don’t you try this one on.’ Mary suggested. This dress was definitely something that I would have picked simple but grand enough to please my mother. It was a subtle nod from me and she pulled me into the dressing room. The whole time I was shuffling out of one dress and into the other I could hear my mum and Mary talking. Mum was profusely apologising for my rudeness but Mary claimed it was not bother. I hadn’t meant to be rude I never wanted to be I just needed to get out of that dress and my mother was having none of it. Sometimes she was the most selfish person but at times she was the most kind and caring person she would give her last penny. My mum was a hard one to c***k, stepping out onto the small raised podium with the dress on and zipped up and my mum and Mary smiled.
I took in the appearance of the brunet girl standing opposite me. She looked pretty especially when she smiled the grey dress fitted her body almost perfectly she was coved all of her insecurities hidden beneath the grey dress.
‘Absolutely stunning my dear. That red dress was all wrong for you.’ Mary walked around the small circular platform she tugged it at the back a little and pulled the arms tighter. ‘Sam can you grab me some more pins!’ It was a gruelling fifteen minutes while she pinned and my mother said what she liked and wanted to change about the dress. Mary ran off to find a pair of shoes she said my mother would die for when the door bell chimed and she called out to them.
‘Wow, absolutely f*****g stunning.’ That deep voice sent the same trembles through me as it did this morning. I saw his reflection in the mirror Greyson’s dark eyes locked on mine and he smirked seeing the colour flair on my cheeks. My mum came back out from the changing room dressed back in her clothing phone pressed to her ear as she observed me and the hot boy in front of me.
‘Um thank you.’ He made me feel nervous with the way his eyes were devouring me. How was I meant to react.
‘Have you had lunch?’ He asked as Sam handed him a black garments bag. No, however I still nodded my head.
‘Lire.’ He spoke with such a nonchalant I scrunched my brows together ready to argue. ‘Don’t lie to me.’ Greyson moved his body closer his hand trailing up my arm leaving those sparks dancing under my skin. Him touching me made me want to move back but his grip tightened the corner of his lips twitched. ‘Have. You. Eaten?’ The swirling anger in his eyes and hardness of his face had me shaken my head to scared to lie again. If you looked hard enough you would say his iris were turning black! We were tangled up in the anger filling the air between us neither of us willing to look away, I was stuck looking at his eyes. Those dark brown eyes that had depths and layers of secrets behind them.
‘Oh Mia, honey I forgot to tell you that I spoke to the McCoy’s’ She had snapped us out of our trance and Greyson let go of me his anger dispersing. ‘and Leo said Killian will take you.’ Those brown eyes still locked on me even when he addressed my mother.
‘Twice in one day’ she sounded surprised.
‘I don’t want to go with Killian.’ I spoke fast moving from Greyson heading for my currently insufferable mother.
‘You already had your way with the dress please don’t fight me on this as well, I already told Leo you would go with Killian.’
‘Killian can go with someone else!’ Its not like he wouldn’t be able to find a willing participant.
‘Don’t do this here, we will talk about this at home.’
‘I Can’t go with him.’ She folded her arms lifting her eye brows up. Oh no. I was in so much trouble. I was going to grounded till I was fifty.
‘And whys that?’ She really wasn’t happy scratch fifty it was going to be till the day I die.
‘Because, Mia said she would go with me, I asked her this morning.’ My mums frown morphed into a surprised smile. ‘My parents are forcing me to go since I missed it last year.’
‘What was your last name again Greyson?’ My mum asked switching all of her attention over to him. I could have sworn I saw him visibly swallow fear like his last name would have changed everything.
‘Wilson. I’m sorry if it runed your plans with the McCoy’s but I made Mia promise. If I have to go to this stupid event I was going to go with someone fun’ fun? Me fun?
My mum looked visibly shocked. Her eyes darting between me and Greyson
‘Wilson as in…’
‘Jason and Rosette Wilson are my parents.’
‘I’m sure Killian can find someone else to go with him.’
What the hell.

The mate bond was a strong from day one. Greyson could feel it to his very core when he was around her. This bond however was different although it was a little slower to form it was going to be one of the most powerful bonds any supernatural had ever felt or witnessed. Everything about her drove him insane. He still was undecided with what to do with his human mate. Sever the bond that had already snapped into place or accept her. Keeping Mia would mean to many risks, this world would kill her Greyson was sure of that.
For the past three days they had enjoyed lunch on the school roof together both fascinated by each other. Greyson for got what it was like to truly smile and laugh that gut wrenching pain was non-existent around Mia. Greyson was content with the friends he already had, he could trust them, they all had each other’s back he didn’t want anymore but with Mia he found himself not only wanting her as a lover but as a life long best friend. The air around her was pure and innocent, easy to breath in free of the toxic and volatile air he was use to. Laying on his back the cold concrete froze him to the bone the only heat provided was the body next to him.
‘You don’t do you?!’ He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. She nodded her head confirming. His smile dropped from his face and he stood up collecting his things.
‘W-where are you going?’ Mia looked panicked sitting up he felt her eyes on his every move. Greyson found grate pleasure in teasing her.
‘This isn’t going to work, I can’t f*****g believe you.’ To many times they have had this conversation and each time Greyson was disappointed giving her one chance after the other to change her mind. Mia was stubborn, this was one thing she would not budge on. Wondering if he went too far when he saw her eyes flood pooled with unshed tears.
‘What why?’ His eyes were staring at the plump lip between her teeth again. s**t!
‘DC is the best.’ The tears diminished and her face lit up as she smiled. He had seen her smile before but not like this, he felt like an entire zoo was running round in his stomach. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. He never thought he would find someone this attractive in his life. He was lost for words.
‘Your right I can’t be friends with a DC lover.’ She joked. She actually made a joke.
Greyson tilted his head to the side ‘Oh is that so.’ He said as he slowly prowled towards her like the primal animal he was, stalking his prey. When they were impossible close her breath hitched as she began backing up further and further till she walked backwards into the roof door. He didn’t stop he could smell her minty fresh breath and she could smell his cologne all around her. He towered over her leaning down towards her face so they were eye to eye he saw her looking down at his lips as she bit her own. Her eyes told him ‘kiss me’ they begged him. Moving his hands to the wall he trapped her slim frame the tension rising.
He watched as she heavily swallowed.
He tucked the hair in her face behind her ear whispering. ‘To bad.’ Greyson heard her heart speed up but her body was completely relaxed almost leaning into him, getting closer and close without even noticing it. ‘You’re stuck with me.’ He knew the meaning behind those words but she didn’t. She didn’t realise just how true those words were and what they meant to him.
Greyson gave her a panty dropping smirk when she unconsciously clenched her legs pushing them as close together as if they would stop the pulsating sensation in her core. Never once had she had this feeling. Greyson knew what she was trying to do and couldn’t control himself or his wolf when he nibbled on her ear and said. ‘You’re mine.’ His soft lips gently touching the outer shell of her ear before taking it between his teeth once again. Greyson listened to her heart race, beating so fast he was concerned.
God how badly he wanted her. He wanted to take her right there against the wall… hard, but he also wanted to show her how gentle he could be.
“Grey, Ash is waiting in the car for us.” Greyson could kill his best friend right about now. Stood on the other side of the roof was his stupid f*****g best friend Ryan. Sandy blond hair and hazel eyes. A s**t eating grin on his handsome face Grayson made note to punch off later. Ryan had broken the two out of there moment looking very cheeky at the two of them. ‘You can f**k her some other time! Ash is waiting’ Ryan said Greyson hadn’t told anyone about his mate so Ryan just assumed she was like any other girl he would just f**k but he saw the questioning look in his best friends eyes why bother with the teasing? Most girls who saw Greyson wanted him acting like a desperate b***h In heat.
Greyson shot Ryan a glare that promised pain and maybe a few broken bones before facing Mia once again. ‘I’ll pick you up at seven on Saturday.’
‘You don’t have to go with me.’ She was looking down at her shoes.
‘You want to go with Killian?’ He was pissed Ryan interrupted them. She shook her head muttering a no. ‘Well then, shut up.’ Mia looked between the two the question written all over her face hidden by the hurt of Greyson snapping at her.
How the hell did he get up here?
*******
Upon entering the house Mia could smell garlic and warm bread she loved garlic bread so much. Truth be told she missed it, she missed a lot of things not just food she missed having friends, having her brother around, she wanted to feel normal again. ‘I rang the school everything is set up for October. I’m just a little worried after last time. Maybe the sandwich was from before she went.’
‘It wasn’t we turned her room upside down before she came back. It wasn’t. She’s hiding food again Lucy. She will be fine it’s not like she hasn’t gone before. This is for her own good Lucy.’
‘I just don’t want to send my daughter away again’ Mia could imagine her mother stood there with her arms crossed. ‘She only just got back, they said there would be some slips up, we just have to keep encouraging her! Stay positive, maybe we should just wait and see how her weigh in goes.’ She could hear the plead in her mother’s voice. They wanted to send her away again. Mia liked having her privacy and those places striped her of it. She wasn’t allowed her phone or contact with her family. Only three times a week when there call was scheduled. You didn’t pay for top quality treatment, you paid them to keep you a secret. They made it seem as if seeing your family was a privilege, you earned your privileges with the more your condition improved. The eating disorder recovery centre’s and doctors even went as far as to take the bathroom and bedroom door off the rooms to make sure the patients weren’t harming themselves exercising excessively or hiding food.
They couldn’t do this to her again lock her away for another three months or however long this time.
Mia knew she wasn’t better but she was being good. Maybe good was the wrong word to use…She was doing better. Still exercising but at least she was eating. (mostly)
‘Please just think about this David, how many times are we going to have to send her away, how many more lies are we going to have to tell our friends about where Mia is.’ Lucy didn’t know how to feel about sending her daughter away. She hatted her kids being away from her especial when they were sick she agreed to it the first time since Mia’s life was at risk and because her husband said she had to and now here he was sending their daughter away again.
‘No my decision is final! Mia Is going to west RAD next month.’ Both Mia and her mother knew when to stop arguing with her dad. The same went for David he knew when to stop arguing with his wife but there was no stopping him when he was on one. Lucy knew she should have let him calm down, Mia was silently begging her in her head to let him be for a few minutes. Circle back to it when he had calmed.
Silently Mia stood in the kitchen as she watched her parents argue over whether or not she was going. David’s voice was getting louder a clear indication he was getting angry. ‘I SAID SHE GOING END OF f*****g CONVOSATION!’ Lucy knew better than to argue when her husband was like this there was no reasoning with him when he was wound up like this but Mia was also her daughter she had a say in this to.
‘NO! I Don’t want her going!’ She argued with her husband back and forth while there daughter witnessed two people who loved each other so much argue because of her.
‘OLIVIA SAID THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FACILITYS IN ENGLAND’ Olivia? Mia recognised that name but she couldn’t place her finger on it.
‘HOW DARE YOUR BRING HER UP! HOW DARE YOU TALK TO HER ABOUT OUR PRIVET FAMILY LIFE! ITS NOTING TO DO WITH HER! SHE SAW ME STRESSED AND OFFERED TO HELP WHAT WAS I MEAN TO DO TELL HER TO f**k OFF!’
‘YES! WHEN THE WOMMAN YOU f****d OFFERS TO HELP, YOU DON’T TAKE HER UP ON THAT OFFER!’ Mia could see the pain written on her mothers face.
‘DON’T BE SUCH A STUBORN b***h LUCY!’ David couldn’t stop the angary outburst he had he threw the plate at the wall it shattered all around Mia neither of them had even noticed her presence until a scream left her lips. ‘s**t, Mia I’m sorry.’ He apologized to his daughter who was shaking from having glass shatter all over her.
‘DAVID!’ Lucy scolded as she made her way over to her little girl. ‘Are you okay Mia it didn’t hit you did it?’ Mia shook her head still in shock. When she recovered her mum helped to pick the broken glass of her but Mia had other plans she walked to the back door and past her dad.
‘What is wrong with you.’ Lucy said facing David. He tried to explain that he didn’t know she was there, that he was sorry. ‘Don’t bother.’ She said to David who was storming out of the house cursing and yelling how it was always his fault and everyone always makes him out to be the bad guy.
Silently lucy cleaned the glass of the floor.
She would give Mia few minuets to gather herself before she would call to make sure she was okay.
‘Two teen’s have been reported missing in a small town called water-ridge. Both boys were last seen leaving there local gym. One Arthur sixteen was meant to return home at four O’clock and Dale seventeen was due to meet his girlfriend at a local restraint but never showed. The have been missing for approximately twenty four hours.’ Lucy tuned into the new realising how close Water-ridge was to her own town. She could feel her heart sink for those families, how horrible it must be to not have your child safe and at home. Lucy would not allow herself to think what she would do if it was Mason or Mia who was missing.
She had read something on the local new about missing people in and around the area she decided if Mia was going to sulk she was going to do it in her bedroom not outside in the dark.
