Three days into our move!

****Echo's POV****
When Taya was the first to talk, and she said thank you. For being my best friend and my sister. I love you, so much, and I am so grateful, that we can experience this together.
My heart knew, that this is what we were supposed to be doing. That this is the right choice for us!
I turn to look at her, and I said, I'm the lucky one, that gets to call you my best friend and sister.
If it weren't for you Taya. I would be lost. And all alone, you saved me in more, than one way. And I will always be grateful to you for this.
You will always, be in my heart. No matter what. She looks at me and we both start to giggle, as we are always getting so mushy, ever since my parent and brother died.
We are getting hungry and tired, so we decided to stop for the night! Taya always likes the run-down spooky, motels, while I am always scared of them.
We stop at one that looks as if it should be straight out of a scary movie. With lots of raping, and killings. Surprisingly, when we stop and check-in. It's so beautiful inside this is like a hidden gem.
I am looking at everything in awe, I can't believe that this place could look like this, it almost looks like a five-star, hotel instead of a run-down spooky motel.
The owners are actually in their 50,'s. At least that is what they look like. The woman is the cook, for the restaurant. That is attached, to the motel.
And the husband runs the motel part. They are a cute couple.
You can tell they are in love. They look at each other as if no one else, is in the room. It's just the two of them.
I hope someday. I can find something like this. I thought that I had this with Devin. But just thinking back on everything. That he has done to me. The last couple of months makes me sad, mad, and so "angry!" How could I let someone treat me like that? How could I let someone, in my life that could hurt someone, they claimed to love?
As if Taya, could read my mind. She said it's not your fault.
He had us all fooled. He made us all believe, he would be your knight and shining armor. But I promise you. You will find someone, that will look at you the way Mr. Johnson looks at his wife. You deserve that, hell I do too.
I hugged her, and say thank you!
She pulls me into a tighter hug. I swear, she is getting stronger and stronger, but she never works out!
Okay, I guess. I must just be getting weaker. I say, that I need to work out. As your hugs are so tight, that they almost hurt me.
Taya starts to laugh, at me, she said no you're just tired and worn out, you have been through so much in these last few months your body, just wants to relax and stop being scared about everything.
You can relax and let everything go, I promise you he won't find us, he will never hurt you again, not as long as I'm here!
Come to think of it, how did you get him off me that night? How were you able to knock his ass out and give him two black eyes?
We both only weigh, about a hundred and twenty pounds!
Taya looks at me and said, I guess it was adrenaline pumping through me when I saw him hurting you.
I guess as I have heard of mothers and fathers, lifting cars off of their children, so I guess adrenaline can make you do things you normally don't do.
We get all checked into our room and head to take a shower, I take mine first as Taya, needs to call her parents and let them know where we are.
I clean myself up, and relax a bit, under the hot water, I guess I have been super stressed out lately, it's only to be expected because of everything I have been through.
I rise off and grab a towel, dry myself off, I swear I heard Taya say no she doesn't expect a thing. But when I flung the door open she was looking at one of her gossips magazines we bought at the last gas station.
I say the showers all your and she jumps up and runs in without even grabbing any of her stuff, I guess she is in a hurry maybe she is starving.
She always likes to eat a lot. I don't know how she doesn't gain any weight, from everything that she eats, come to think of it her mom eats a lot too and is just as skinny as she is.
I wish I had their genes, if I ate half of what she did I would be a fat ass!
I let out a sigh, as the thought made me think of my mom, she wasn't fat but she wasn't skinny either, my dad always said she was perfect and just right for him.
Again it's as if Taya could read my mind, she smiled and said you know they would be very proud of you, and they would want this for you.
They would want you to move on with your life and be happy to follow your dreams.
"Wait, I didn't even hear her leave the bathroom to get her shower stuff, or maybe I'm in my head too much to notice."
I know she is right, but it still stings my heart, not having them here to cheer us on. To not be able to call my mom as Taya has done throughout this trip.
She thinks she is being sneaky, but I know that she is talking to her parents, I guess I'm a little jealous of that. But, they have been nothing but sweet and nice to me since the first day my family and I met them.
