When I got back to the city, I noticed the guards stand straight at alert as soon as they saw me approach. They looked at themselves and then back at me as if surprised to see me on time. Rolling my eyes, I glanced at my watch. Good. I had just enough time before I got to work. "You kept your promise," The first guard said as I reached the gates. "I don't swear on the moon goddess name for nothing." I laughed. "There are consequences to that, I suppose." "So, what about a compensation?" The second guard said. "Come again?" I tilted my head sideways. "A compensation," The first one repeated, folding his arms and raising an eyebrow at me. "You know, meaning to reward someone for..." "I know what a compensation is," I retorted dryly. "Good." The second one smile. "So, what do we get?"
