~ QUINN ~ I was startled as the thud of the glass cup against the table. I looked up after shaking away the surprise into the rather surprised eyes of the waitress. Her hands were placed on her hips and her head was tilted sideways. "That's weird," she said. "Nothing really catches you off guard." Not that she was wrong.
