As much as coming to the hospital to see Richard's grandmother felt special, the altercation with Caitlyn and his mother spoilt the moment for me. I felt stupid standing there and was unable to say a word. I didn't want to disrespect his mother, and neither did I want to help cause a scene in the corridor of his grandmother's hospital room. With all that happened there, something stayed with me, Caitlyn's words.
Indeed, she had told four people before me what she told me, and she won eventually. Richard did get back to her.
Fortunately for me, I knew the outcome of what was between Richard and me. I knew he would go back to her. That was the premise of the entire set-up, to begin with, and for this very reason, I could not speak.
I didn't want to worsen whatever would ensue.
