Lee pov

i was turning eightteen today, and i have already shifted into my cat she was beautiful with gold yellow eyes, and her name was Sky, May’s cat Thunder was right there with me a week ago, my mother and father and my big brother was there as well, but May told Erick she needed to shift to be with me while i shifted. Thunder was amazing helping me, and when i was done i was orange with white on my paws, it looked really cool and i had a crown on my head, meaning i was the queen's daughter, my mom had a mirror so i could look and i thought i looked really beautiful with the crown in the middle of my head, now its my birthday and everyone was out side getting ready, my friends was there setting up the tables and the food, and i wanted to hurry to get ready, i might even find my mate today, but isnt that too soon i rather be older and maybe know a few things before then, yes i have dated and fooled around, even kissed but that is about it, I even helped May shifted a few years ago, she was still worried about shifting so i helped her, told her i would be right there with her, so she shifted and she shifted back, she was getting the hang out of it and she even said it doesnt even hurt anymore, she loved to shift and go for a run, i watched as my brother would shift with her and go on runs for hours, i hoped to find a mate like that one day, i got dressed in ripped jeans and a pink shirt to match my shoes, i put my hair in a pony tail and ran back downstairs, the party was in full swing when i got down stairs, maybe i took awhile to get ready, and Sky chuckled at me, “Girl you took a full hour, if they waited they would starve,” i rolled my eyes at my cat and went to greet my friends, my boyfriend at the time was smiling at me and i smiled back, he handed me a gift and i opned it, it was a bracelet a silver bracelet, that was my favorite silver, and he knew it, he put it around my wrist and kissed my cheek, and everyone said awww, i blushed a deep red as my mom and dad come out of the house with a huge cake placing it on the table, everyone sung me happy birthday and i blew out the candles, but i still felt like i was missing something, what was i missing, i wish i knew, “Maybe it is your mate, because Hilton isn't your mate, Lee, he found his mate and he wants to tell you, he just doesn't want to hurt you,” I chuckled softly, “it's not going to hurt me at all, if he wants his mate then i will set him free from me,” I turned and told Hilton to come with me i needed to tell him something,

Hilton pov

I knew this was wrong, but i told my mate Angela she will have to wait, i been with Lee since she was fourteen years old, i just could not hurt her like this not on her birthday, she understood, she was here tonight and my cat wanted to be near her so badly, he was whimpering, and i told him soon, just tonight is Lee’s night that's all, just for tonight, I gave Lee a silver bracelet, and kissed her cheek, it hurt me doing that knowing my mate was watching, i felt her eyes on me, And i almost told Lee then, but i kept telling myself it's just for tonight don't ruin her birthday, but when she told me she wanted to speak with me, i thought it was something else, like she wanted to give herself to me, and i would had stopped it, we both agreed to wait for our mates and we both understood, yeah we did things, but the other part having s*x we saved that for our mates, she pulled me near Angela and i felt the strong pull of the mate bond, and i wanted to go to her so badly, Then she did something that i thought i would never hear f what she said next,

“Hilton listen, i know you found your mate, Sky had told me, so don’t lie, your only here because you don't want to hurt me, that's when she turned to Angela, “Angela come here girl, you and i have been friends for years there is no need to worry if i'm going to be mad or not, this is your time, your mates, i can't say no to that, Well i could i could be a huge b***h and demand that you reject her but you and i both know i am not like that, so go be with your mate Hilton i will be fine, trust me i will be just fine, i saw that he was worried about me, maybe we were mates in one time or another, like in a past life who knows, but if we were we would find each other again, but now is not our time, I walked away leaving them because that was the only way he would go to her if i walked away from them, everyone was watching worried, and i stopped and turned and said,

“Listen guys, it's a party, sometimes mates find each other, sometimes they reject each other, other times they don’t. im cool, so stop worrying because that is annoying

Angela pov

I was watching from across the way Hilton and Lee, it broke my heart seeing him kiss her cheek and giving her that bracelet, but it was her night tonight, all i wanted was to be with him to be by his side to be holding his hand, but we couldn't at least not tonight, i was thinking of just rejecting him to let them be together, s**t they been together for years, people thought they were truly mates, until one night we found each other, but when she took his hand and lead him to me, and walked away, we both looked at each and and then back at her watching her walk away from us, ‘i think i just lost my bestfriend Hilton,”
