I have been hit with a lot this week. Elena found us looking at pictures of her from when we first rescued her. We were trying to figure out what had happened to her. The state she was in when we got her to the hospital was not good. She was doing better, but she still wasn’t OK. I was trying everything I could to help her. I was making sure she had food and clean clothes and tried talking with her. She either just ignored me or was asleep. There were a few times that she pretended to be asleep, but I knew better. I figured this was just part of her healing. I know she will come around soon.
