[Rachel’s POV]
I watch in disbelief as William storms out of the room. How was this happening? Why was it happening? This was supposed to be a lovely evening spent with my in-laws and my future husband! But here he was declaring to all present, including an unwelcome guest, that he didn’t want me. No! I wouldn’t stand for it.
“Excuse me,” I announce, giving a smile of apology. “I’ll be right back.”
My parents nor William’s parents don’t attempt to stop me as I head in the direction that William disappeared in. When I spot him, I rush forward and reach out in an attempt to grab his wrist, but he whirls around and gives me a glare of warning.
“What did I say about touching me?” He growls, his eyes flashing. “And don’t follow me.”
