REMI The twins woke me up gently in the morning even though I didn’t sleep much. The ache in my lower back wouldn’t subside, and I had started cramping overnight. Breakfast was already upstairs for us when they pulled me from my dreamless sleep. The overwhelming fear and panic over everything had subsided into nagging anxiety. I hated that the twins would be leaving for a day or two, but I accepted that it was best that I stayed home for now.
