CALDER The drive was longer than we expected. Remi sat in between Cullen and me in the back seat with Gentry driving and Samantha in the passenger seat. Remi was beginning to squirm and shift herself; I could tell she was uncomfortable after hours in the car. “Should we stop for a bit and give Cinderella a break?” Gentry linked me. Our eyes met in the rearview mirror, and I got the feeling he had been noticing her. “Might not be a bad idea,” I replied, looking down at my mate. I leaned over and kissed the top of her head as I intertwined our fingers. I pulled her hand into my lap. “Are you doing okay, baby?” I asked her softly. “Sort of,” she said. I looked over at Cullen, who was sleeping with his arms crossed and head tilted against the seat. I think the only reason Remi didn’t f
