Coming out of the bathroom a few minutes later, I sit down quietly so I have my hair and makeup done. Kingston's mother had not yet come to see me so it only meant that she was busy with Prince's wife. It was better that she didn't come.

“ What are you doing here? We need all the hands we can get for the main bride ” Kingston's mother says as she enters inside making me close my eyes.

My prayer had not worked.

“I was going to go there immediately I was done wi-"

" I said leave this place! Is she more important than the main bride? Don't you want your job anymore?” Kingston's mother shouted driving away all the people that had been helping me get ready.

Getting up from my chair, I slap my hands continuously as I turn around to face her. We were alone now.

“I guess you must feel happy with yourself, don't you? You think this will stop me from marrying Kingston? You will have to do better." I said watching as she walked up to me.

“You're a snake. As long as I am here, don't even think of having a peaceful time. I will make sure you leave on your own.” Kingston's mother said confidently before leaving.

Clenching my hand tightly again, I exhale deeply closing my eyes for a moment before I close the door. There was no need for me to cry on my wedding day. She didn't deserve my tears. Heading up to my bed where my wedding dress had been placed, I pick it up removing the covering jacket protecting it. Looking at it, my eyes widen in shock. It was a beautiful wedding dress had been cut in several places. At this point, a rag was even a better choice of wedding dress than this.

“ That woman!” I exclaim angrily as I throw the wedding dress to the ground.

Rushing inside, Naomi opens the door gasping in shock as she sees the dress. I just couldn't believe it. Kingston's mother was determined to really make my life a living hell.

“ What do we do? What happened? Did you do this?” Naomi asked making me sigh.

“ Do you think I would do this? I have no reason to tear my dress into shreds. Kingston's mother did this. Apparently, this is my wedding dress. She wants to embarrass me in front of so many people.” I said.

“ More like she doesn't want you to marry her son. What will you do, Alexa?” Naomi asked looking at me.

“ I have no other choice." I said reaching for my phone.

Texting Kingston, I tell him about what his mother did. Within a minute, Kingston rushes over to my room to see me. Entering inside, Kingston gasps in shock the same way Naomi did after seeing the dress. Looking at me, he asks me if I am the one that did it.

“Your mother sent it to me. I haven't even completely removed the covering jacket. Look at it. This is the dress your mother wants me to wear today. She wants to stop the marriage." I said standing up from my seat.

“Don't worry about this. I already expected this from my mother. I will send the wedding dress I had made for you and someone to do your makeup. Where is Shawn?" King asked looking around the room.

“ He and his nanny both went downstairs. It's best that he stays somewhere quiet." I said.

Waiting in the room with me, King looks down at his watch. Finally the person we have been waiting for arrives. Bringing the wedding dress to me, I can't help but gasp in shock when I look at the dress that Kingston had prepared for me.

“Lexie.” Naomi said gasping in shock as she looks at it too.

“What are you doing? Quickly wear it so we can see if it needs any adjustments." King said making me nod my head.

Taking it from the hanger, I remove my bathing robe in front of him watching as his gaze intensifies. It was a connection that both of us shared. That night.

“Let me help you wear it." My best friend said rushing over to help me immediately.

Putting it on, I look at Naomi with a questioning gaze watching her nod her head at me.

“ You look absolutely beautiful, Alexa.” Naomi said stepping out of the way so that Kingston can see me.

Watching him stare at me, I can't help but feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world. The dress was truly beautiful and elegant. Never in my life have I ever imagined that I would be getting married to my ex-boyfriend's twin brother. In front of us was a new life. One that was definitely going to be a rocky path.

“It's time. We have to go." Kingston said making me nod my head.

After he leaves, Naomi helps me put on my makeup quickly so we can make it to the wedding hall. Few minutes later, I spot a car waiting for me outside.

"Let's go." Naomi said helping me with my dress as we enter the car.

Heading to the wedding venue, I step down rushing to the front just before Prince's wife can enter. Luckily I had managed to make it in time.

“How?” She asks looking at me dumbfounded.

“How what? How did I manage to get here or how did I manage to look even more beautiful than you?" I ask smiling at her before the door opens.

The light immediately turns to us making us gain everyone's attention. Spotting King at the altar, I can't help but smile at him as our eyes meet. Meanwhile, Prince looks at me surprised too.

“Is that Kingston's wife? She is so beautiful."

" She is. Look at the dress."

Walking down the aisle, I smile brightly like I should just to get everyone's attention.

“ Finally the two brides are here, we will now start the ceremony. Say your names......"

Doing as we are told, I look at Kingston straight in the eye trying to give him my ultmost attention but I fail immediately. I couldn't ignore the fact that the man I had loved for 10 years was marrying another woman. Suddenly all our memories together come flashing back to me. We had gone through a lot together yet we had ended up this way. Was it going to be same with Kingston?

“With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” The priest said.

Holding my two hands tightly together in his, King leans down kissing me passionately. It was as if he was telling me not to regret my decision. How could I? Even though I had not wanted to admit it before, I was attracted to him. From the time I had seen him again at the mall and now. Nothing had changed.
