2. Monday morning

15 years later

Crystal's P.O.V

"Crystal!" I hear

"CRYSTAL!" I hear again. Gurrrr I hate when someone disturbs my sleep.

"CRYSTAAAAL!!!" I jolted awake when my brother Liam shouted in my ear. He can be such a pain in the butt sometimes.

"How dare you disturb my beauty sleep" I hissed while glaring at him.

"It's seven thirty you are gonna be late for school."

"Dang it " I hurriedly got up from bed in panic mode

shoot if I'm late to Mr spitfire's class, I will never hear the end of it.

Mr Reyes was our chemistry teacher and he never allowed anyone to be late for class.

He would talk so much that you get to wonder if he ever gets tired.

The man's words are more venomous than a snakes venom. Hotter than a boiling volcano.

I quickly got up and hurriedly took a bath while Liam chuckled walking away.

He was 4 years older than me And soon to be alpha of the Black moon pack.

He hadn't found his mate yet but what amazes me is that he is patiently waiting to meet her.

I was done with my shower in five minutes getting dress in pink high waist shorts and a white crop top with some canvas then quickly grabbed my bag and keys running down stairs.

"Hi parents bye parents." I shouted to the two love birds in the kitchen.

"Have fun at school." mom yelled back while dad muttered a she is late again.

I got into my pink lambo and drove to school leaving my guards who followed me after.

Dad is super protective of me. I never go anywhere without atleast ten guards.

Whenever I ask him why he is always protective he just shrugs and says I'm too precious to not be protected.

Luckily for me school was just a ten minute drive away from home.

I quickly pack on my usual spot grabbed my bag and rushed to the lockers.

Grabbing my chemistry book, the last bell rang indicating that class has started! Oh my bikini bottom mr spitfire is gonna kill me.

I ran all the way to my class and arrived just as mr spit fire was about to close the door.

"Nice save." Riss said when I sat down releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding.

I smiled at her just as an orchestra began playing in my tummy. I groaned and she giggled.

"You skipped breakfast again didn't you?" She smirked and I just rolled my eyes while mr spitfire began talking about the manufacture of ammonium chloride.

After about an hour soon class ended.

"Man I'm so hungry." I mumbled.

"Come on lets get you some breakfast." riss said dragging me to the cafeteria.

I got some granula bars with a bottle of water, an apple and a banana. Sitting down to eat.

"So let me guess you over slept today again. "

"Hmmm" I responded while eating.

"You know I think maybe you should be setting an alarm. I'm Pretty sure your brother is tired of waking you up.." she smiled.

I looked at her and saw a tint of red on her cheeks.

Riss has a crush on my brother Liam. She didn't tell me but I found out a few days ago when I saw her looking at him lovingly.

I haven't questioned her though I know she will tell me when she is ready.

After I was done eating which was only five minutes, I went to my other class history.

School passed by in a blur and soon I was heading home.

"Miss Leigh.." one of my guards Noah bowed as soon as he saw me exit the school building.

All the other humans were eyeing me well not entirely me but my guards. They were hot I couldn't deny it.

And people from the other packs didn't even step in my way afraid since I was the daughter to the alpha of one of the biggest packs in the region.

"Hi Noah." I said going over to my car and placing my bag there.

"what are we going to do today?" Riss asked sitting on the passenger sit.

"I say we binge watch chickflick movies." I winked at her and she giggled.

"Is Liam home?" she shyly asked and I smirked.

"Why do you have a crush on my brother.?"

"Stop it cree.." she playfully punched my arm while I laughed driving away from the hell hole we call school.

We spent alot of hours watching movies that I don't know how we fell asleep.

"Crystal wake up." Liam screamed in my ear again and I groaned.

not again I just fell asleep

"Well mum told me to come wake you as tomorrow is your sixteenth birthday, you know the day you shift for the first time and meet your mate."

"Yeah I know why should I get up? It's Saturday let me sleep in a little." I groaned.

"Actually it's tuesday but mom and dad want to tell you something so you are skipping school."

" really? What could be so important that my parents want me to skip school?"

"Come on babe get up and change we are waiting for you down stairs." he said leaving me to it.

I got up went into the bathroom did my bussiness then dressed up in a white shirt and black jeggings with some house slippers.

I put my hair in a messy bun and headed down stairs for breakfast.

"Goodmorning loveliest mother in the whole world!"

I said to my mum.

"Morning sweetie how was your night?" she kissed my forehead.

"It was lovely except the part were LIAM here came in and screamed in my ear" I glared at my brother who just rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"Liam why would you do that to your baby sister? Morning princess" my dad said while kissing my forehead and sitting down on the dining chair, mum handing him a cup of creamy coffee.

"Well she is such a heavy sleeper! I tried waking her up softly but she wouldn't wake up so I just screamed"

I gave him a playful glare

"So mum why did you tell my sweet brother here ( note the sarcasm ) to wake me up at seven in the morning? What do you want to tell me?"

mum's face became pale and it looked like she was about to cry. Something is wrong.

My dad got up kissed her forehead and she softly sobbed in his chest.

" mum what's wrong? I'm sorry if I have offended you with my question. I promise I won't ask more. "

"It's fine sweetie I just felt emotional"

"We have something important to tell you princess." My dad said

"Please listen to what they have to say and just know that we still love you unconditionally" my brother said. Getting up from his seat and giving me a brotherly hug.

I became tense, what did they want to tell me

Are they planning on getting me married to a possesive and annoying alpha?. I mean I saw alpha dumb dumb yesterday he came to request something. could it be he came for me and my parents said yes oh no!

A bunch of thoughts started running in my mind and before I could ask what it's about my dad spoke up

" princess we are not you real parents," my dad said and mum cried even harder.

"What?" I whispered under my breath

I was relieved that it wasn't marriage phew but wait not my real parents...?

" fifteen years ago when you were a year old your father's pack was attacked. We went to help but we were too late the pack had burnt down and your mum luna Arianna gave you to me. I instantly felt the need to protect you and love you like my own."

At that point a ringing voice appeared in my head. The people I considered my parents and family were not I felt like an outsider and hurt. They kept this from me, I should have know this earlier.

"We didn't know how to tell you. We were afraid of your reaction sweetie I....." I cut him off.

"Excuse me I need to be alone"

"Princess please hear us out we just..."

"You just what?" I yelled

I got up ran to my room and cried my eyes out.

Wait why am I crying? Those people where kind enough to take me in when I was alone and helpless.

They are my family even if we are not blood related they took care of me so lovingly like their own and I was so stupid to shout at them like that.

But why does it hurt so much. I continued crying.

"Crystal can we talk" I heard Laims voice but I kept quiet.

"Sis please open the door we talk."

" go away Liam." I told him.

" I promise I will go just let me come in please"

I didn't respond and instead continue wallowing in self pity.

"Am coming in either way"

The door softly opened and I didn't even have the energy to look up.

" Crystal sweety " I felt two strong arms wrap around me and I cried even harder

Before slipping off into a dream.
