It's been 4 days since Faulkner was born and Alex and Ember are still staying to themselves. Luna Aspen told me Alex and Ember are staying in the cabin at the lake where they found us. I know they need some time but I miss my brother. I haven't been away from Alex this long before. I mean yeah we don't do everything together as we did before since meeting our mates but we still see each other pretty much every day. I decided to go for a ride to see if I could get the lonely feeling of missing my brother to subside and where I ended up happened to be the lake cabin. I wasn't planning on coming here but I felt drawn to Alex I guess. I pulled up to the cabin and was hesitant on getting out but I saw Alex and Ember walking back up to the cabin from the lake. Alex must have sensed me and looked up. He gave me a small smile and I got out of the car and ran to my brother. I pulled him into a hug and then I grabbed ember gently and hugged her as well. Alex asked me what I was doing there and I explained how I ended up at the cabin. He kind of laughed and said,
" I missed you too Van."
He asked If anyone had said anything about them at the packhouse and I said No. Alpha Hardin is looking for Myah. She will be punished for what she did. He and Ember both looked at me with a confused expressions and said Alex asked why he was looking for Myah and what is she being punished for. I put my head down and said Alex I tried to link you to tell you and Ember what was going on but I couldn't get through to you. I even tried to text you. He said,
"Well, you have me now Van so explain why Alpha Hardin is looking for Myah and why she is going to be punished."
I said well I found out from one of the Omega's, that Myah is the one who tripped Ember and she is also the crazy chick from the hospital who kissed you. Alex and Ember at the same time both said Myah did it? I nodded my head and said I told Alpha Hardin what I found out and he has been looking for her since he left the hospital after I told him. Alex asked when I was at the hospital because Alpha Hardin didn't tell him anything about it when they were there. I said Alex, Ember, I know the two of you are going through something I cannot imagine going through as a parent but Faulkner was born 4 days ago. Ember broke out in tears but she hugged me and said she was happy that Brie and I had our pup and that she would love to see him soon. Alex had tears in his eyes and said,
"I am so sorry I wasn't there for you Brother. I know how much it meant to you that I was there. Congratulations Van."
I said Alex it's ok. I know what has happened and I am not upset with you at all brother. You needed to be with Ember and you both needed time to get through the heartbreak you just went through. He asked how I knew and I told him about coming down to check on them and what I saw. I said I had a nephew, didn't I? Ember nodded and began sobbing and Alex said,
"You did brother. His name is Legolas Epsy."
I pulled Alex in and hugged him tightly. I said I am here for you Alex. I love you brother. He told me he loved me too and I said Brie is probably freaking out because I haven't come back to the room yet. I need to get back to her. Alex told me he was glad I came to see him and told me they would be back in a day or so. I hugged them both once more and then headed back to the packlands.
When I got back to the packlands, Brie was mad. I explained to her I didn't mean to go out there to bother them. It just kind of happened. After she yelled at me, She said she was glad I finally got to see Alex and check on them. I told her they would be home in another day or so. She asked if I told them about Faulkner and I nodded. She had tears in her eyes and said,
"I can't imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing. I don't know what I'd do if something were to happen to Faulkner. If I were to lose him or you and not know who did it, I'd probably go crazy and kill everyone I have ever had an issue with, in this pack. Yes, I know that sounds harsh for the ones who would be innocent."
I looked down at the floor and mumbled, they know who it was and Brie asked what I said. I looked up and she asked me again. I didn't want to say it louder because I knew I'd probably get chewed out but I said they know. She said,
"Evander Elijah Tiffin, Have you lost your mind? Alpha Hardin wanted to find her and deal with her before Alex and Ember found out. Now we have to worry about them trying to hunt her down when they come back if Alpha Hardin hasn't found her by then."
I said I know but it slipped out. I swear to the moon goddess I didn't mean to tell them, Brie. She sighed and asked me to get some diapers from the storage room because Faulkner woke up and she knew he was going to need to be changed. Once I got the diapers, Brie changed Faulkner and we went down to the dining hall for dinner.
