Chapter 4

(Callie pov)

I awoke with a start, i didn't know what woke me up i guess i was so used to getting up training every morning, that my body wanted to get up and head out, so why not a few hours of training would not hurt, it's only five am, and I knew Adam was in the office probably doing paperwork and making phone calls, i got dressed and headed outside to train for a few hours, most of the new recruits have been working hard, some did not come back, that is fine it's always next month if they want to try again even though some never do, they had rather go on the human side and work or work around the pack house and still get paid for it, others do come back and try out again, they think being a guard is so easy, even a runner is not easy at all, but most do try out for that, after a few hours of training i went inside to take a shower, i headed upstairs to the bedroom opened the door and already heard the water running, Adam was in the shower, i chuckled taking off my dirty clothes throwing them in the hamper walking into the bathroom opening the shower door, he pulled me inside,

“I was hoping you would come in there to join me,” he kissed me passionately, lifting me up my legs went around his waist, i felt his hardness again my thigh, I loved how he always did things like this,the only few minute shower turned into a hot and steamy shower he had me against the wall pumping into me hard sucking on my breast kissing me passionately, when we were done, we turned the water off and got out of the shower, the bathroom was full of steam from the hot water, we dried off and got dressed, i walked into the walk in closet getting bluejeans and a nice button up blue top, brushed my hair letting it lay over my shoulders, wearing hoop earrings and did some makeup, i was done when i put my feet into my sandals, when i walked out of the closet he was already done getting dressed, he was wearing black jeans and a button up black shirt,

“Are you ready for this? I had asked him” he nodded rolling his eyes,

“Yesh i am ready, i am ready to get this done and over with, if they didn't need our help they would never be here in the first place,”

i reached up softly kissing him on his lips,

“It will be fine love, come on lets get downstairs, they should be here really soon,”

walking out of the bedroom down the stairs we got a link from Sam, one of the guards telling us that three cars had just pulled up to the gate,” Adam had told him to let them through. we waited a few minutes until we heard the cars pull up into the driveway, we opened the door and stood on the porch, i noticed that Adam stiffen for some reason, i hoped everything was okay, when Alpha Crane and luna Birdie got out of the car they walked up the stairs to us to shake our hands,

“Welcome to the Black Oval pack, i hope the ride here was comfortable for you,” Looking over a Adam, he looked tensed he was looking around like he was looking for something, my marking spot was itching i had to scratch it, that had never happened before, i reached for his hand his attention snapped back to us, he had a look of worry on his face, that made me wonder if he was okay,

‘Alpha Crane, luna Birdie, please follow me to my office so we can get the paperwork started, the time we are done dinner should be ready, please let your pack know they can walk around our land and meet our pack if that's what they are wanting to do, we will call them as soon as dinner is ready, He nodded linked them then we went inside, i held onto his hand but it felt like it was forced, so i slide my hand from his, rubbing my neck, he looked so tensed, i'm going to need to fix that when they leave. we walked into the office i stood beside him as he set down, putting my hand on his shoulder, i felt him tense up, now what the hell is going on here, i linked him,

‘Adam, what is wrong, you seem so tense?” I only had to wait a few seconds, when he linked me back,

“ There is nothing wrong love, just want to get this done and over with so they will leave after dinner, then we can go on with our lives,”

we ended the link, He started the paperwork, printed it out and handed it to them, he agreed on the conditions and the rules, the conditions were if we help them with the rogues, then when we call on them they must come and help us, the rules are,

there will be no trying to take over each other packs, and there will be no betrayal, if any of the alphas break that rule, then it will be death upon them, he agreed we signed then they had signed, we set there talking about each others packs, and how we met each other and then they told us how they met, the time we got done talking, dinner was done, we headed to the dinning hall, Adam was still tensed, i will be so glad when this was all over and done with, because i have never seen him like this before, we set down at the alphas table with our dinner in front of us, I looked up and saw him sniffing and looking around, i knew what had happened, his mate was somewhere in this room, i needed to get his attention i wanted him to know it was okay, i placed my hand on his shoulder to get his attention, the next thing i knew i was being tossed down on the floor getting hit by this woman,
