{Ivory pov}

Today was Jesses birthday, i was excited because i had a gift for him, it was a dark blue shirt, i remembered when he told me that dark blue was his favourite colour, i didn't know what else to get a guy for his birthday, His mother mind linked me telling me to be there a six, so i was getting ready now i wanted to look nice out of respect of his parents, so i wore a nice pair of navy blue jeans with a white button up top, my hair was over my shoulders, then i put light makeup on, i even put on low heel shoes, that way i can look a little taller, i really didn't have to try, i looked tall for my age, i was 5.8 and i was still growing, i think i will be tall just like my dad, i was done getting ready when i went into the living room were mom and dad was sitting and talking, they stopped talking and looked my way when i entered,

“Honey, you look really nice for Jesse's birthday, my mom said.”

“thanks mom, i just wanted to be respectful when i go over there. i won't be out too late,” i hugged both of them and kissed their cheeks telling them i loved them, i headed outside, toward Jesse's house, it only took me five minutes to get there since they lived on pack grounds, when i arrived, everyone was there, Lisa, paula, Tina, Skull and Hector was there with Betty, Mrs Nancy Jesses mom was at the door waiting for me, she had a beautiful smile on her face,

“Ivory, i am so happy you could make it, you look so pretty tonight, come on in everyone is already in the living room, waiting for Jesse to come downstairs,”

“thank you Mrs Nancy, you look real pretty to, i love that color shirt you have on sky blue is my favourite colour,”

“Mine to honey, go on inside, i will be calling Jesse down in five minutes, i have to get everything in place, so he will have a surprise when he gets down here,” we all went inside i helped Nancy with the last minute things, we were in the living room now with a table full of chips and dip. sodas with a punch bowl of punch and ice cream inside of it, and his blue birthday cake that said, Happy birthday Jesse on top of it with white icing, everything was set when his mom mind linked him telling him to come downstairs dinner was done, twenty minutes later i heard him walking down the stairs my wolf Lexy as going nuts, pacing back in forth, i tried to ignore it, now was not the time for her to go all dramafied on me, i wanted to have fun and wish Jesse a happy birthday have a piece of cake then go home, when he made it to the living room we all yelled happy birthday, he a had a huge smile on his face he was looking right at me in a weird look, i felt very uncomfortable, i placed my gift to him on the table. i told mrs Nancy that my mom was linking me needing me home, she hugged me bye told me she understood, i hurried out the door as Lexy was whimpering, I hurried home and ran into my mom that was outside sitting, i set beside her, and told her how he was looking at me and Lexy was whimpering so loud it confused the hell out of me,

Mom sighed as she told me for the very first time about the birds and the bees, and about mates, i didnt like the fact that mates mated but thats how i was made, and things like that, i really didn’t want to hear about the s*x talk, and i thought what she said was so gross that i don’t think i would ever want to have s*x, there was no way someone was going to stick there thing inside of me, and make me bleed like that, she also told me i could choose my mate if i really wanted to if i chose to do so i could reject my true mate, my dad joined in and told me there was no way in hell i will ever have a mate, my mom laughed and elbowed him,

“Honey, what i am saying is that we think Jesse is your mate, it's the reason why he was looking at you like that, and that's the reason why Lexy is whimpering, she wanted to be near her mate and that is his wolf, she also knows you are still young, and she is waiting for you to get older, im sorry honey, but wolves know,”

i sighed as i listened to my mom and dad, i really didn't want a mate, i was still so young, i was only sixteen, i'm not ready for this, and i wont be, not until im eighteen and then maybe i will decide, this will be my decision not my wolfs,

{Jesse pov}

I was walking down stairs, and i started smelling this scent, i didn’t even know what it was at first, but when i got to the bottom step i smelled lillies and sunflowers, weird i never smelled them before, when i got to the livingroom Tarek was going nuts, he kepts screaming mate, mate mate is here, i was thinking Hell no, i am still to young, but when i realise my mate was Ivory, i was all smiles but i still wasn’t ready for a life long mate, i was only seventeen years old, I saw her face and then she turned telling my mom she had to go her mom was linking her to come home,she hugged her and ran out the door like she knew what was going on. f**k. is she going to reject me, how will i feel about that, maybe i should reject her first, hell i dont know all i know i just want to have fun on my birthday and don’t have to worry about a mate thing, and having to be with just one person for the rest of my life, let me enjoy this year, and then maybe if i want a mate sure why not, but im not going to rush into a mate when im still just a teenager, we where starting to have fun, we ate dinner, mom brought out the cake and they all sung happy birthday to me, i was opening up the few gifts i had, if i didn’t get any gifts it would still be cool i had my friends, i opened my dads first, it was a cool watch it had real gold around it with a leather band, i strapped it on my left wrist, then the guys got me gift cards that were for apple bees and the texas steak house, nice i love a good steak, i have gotten one for target, nice i could use a few new shirts, i saw an unopen gift that was one the table i went to it I saw it was from Ivory, I hope it wasn’t anything lovey dovey or some sort, everyone was watching me opening the box, i pulled out the dark blue button up shirt, dam she knew my favorite color, and i loved the shirt, i showed it to my mom and dad and friends,

“Lisa, if you see Ivory tomorrow, can you please tell her i said thank you for the shirt?”

“I don’t think so son, my father had said, you will be going there tomorrow thanking her yourself, just because you're seventeen now you won't be forgetting your manners, is that understood?”

“Dad, i didn't mean it like that, Lisa and Ivory see each other all the time i just thought she could,,,”

“No, excuse young man, you will march over there tomorrow and thank her for the shirt, there will be no second party talking for you, you will go to the pack house tomorrow morning before training and you will personally tell her thank you for your shirt, is that clear?”

“Yes dad, loud and clear,”

after that conversation I really didn't feel like staying up to late, i didn't want to see Ivory, my wolf was getting on my nerves telling me we should go see mate, we need to hold mate,:

I finally yelled at him in my head to leave me alone and let me sleep, we will see Ivory tomorrow morning, so give it a damn break already, i don't want a mate right now, she is to young and i am as well, so chill out,” Tarek actually whimpered i didn't hear anything else from him the rest of the night, i go t a good night's rest, I just hope she won't feel this mate thing, because if she does, then i am in some deep s**t, all i want is to have this year to myself, but then i will have to wait until she is eighteen, then i will be in my twenties, so i will have plenty of time to do what i want, good, if she doesn't feel it, then everything will be good,
