NOLAN POV

I trust my mate that she can do it and she is definitely going to win although I have so many doubts about this.

Why did Veronica have to be the last opponent?

Not only is she a part of my warriors, but she is also the strongest amongst both the male and female warriors.

I know she won't play a straight game in this fight. She is known to use dirty tricks. My woman might be injured from her tricks.

I wish I could have a means to stop this, but I can't. I don't have the power to do that right now.

I stood feeling so tensed as the fight began.

Ocean at first was having an upper hand. Her punches were smooth, and they all hit well.

But when Veronica began to fight back, it was terrible.

I had to turn my back as I faced Jade and Jayden. I blocked their view so they won't see how they mum was beaten.

“Uncle Nolan, you are blocking my view.” Jayden growled, looking pissed.

“Sorry champ but I can't let you watch this. Why don't we go outside and get ice cream, then we come back and continue to watch the match?” I asked, hoping they both agreed to come with me.

“Ice cream!!!! I love ice cream. Let's go, Uncle Nolan.” Jade said, jumping.

“I am not leaving here. I want to watch my mum.” Jayden said, frowning.

How am I going to convince his kid? He doesn't look like he will back down easily.

“But it's your mummy who told me to buy it for you. She knew you would be thirsty soon. Look, Jayden, we need to hurry up so that we can come back to watch the match.” I said whatever was the first lie my mind could think of.

Jayden looked at me, and I pretended like I was looking at my wristwatch.

“Alright let's hurry up and not waste time.” I told them.

I held their hands and dragged them outside most especially Jayden, who was still reluctant to leave.

“Alpha wait, I will take them for the ice cream. Your mate needs someone to be here. You all can't just leave.” Julian said through the mind link as he walked to me.

“Jade and Jayden, I know a better ice cream shop where they sell a lot of ice cream flavours. What do you say, I take you there instead of him?” he asked, smiling at the two kids.

“Alright Uncle Julian. Please, Uncle Nolan, watch over mummy till we get back. Let nothing happen to her.” Jayden said, giving me an order.

Without saying anything, I only nodded and agreed with him.

I watched as they all walked away. I got back to where I was and watched as my mate was being beaten mercilessly.

My wolf growled out loud as he tried to take control and take care of Veronica, but I stopped him. It was hard on me myself, but I had to be strong.

Just when I thought all hope was lost and Ocean had failed the challenge, something shocking happened.

I saw Veronica whisper something to her but couldn't tell what she said. All of a sudden, Ocean had dark eyes, and she let out a loud growl, which shook the ground. I looked with shock in my eyes about how she began to kick and punch Veronica in most of her vital parts, which would make her feel so much pain.

Veronica tried to fight back, but this time around, Ocean didn't give her that chance. She continued punching her till she fell face down on the ground.

But that didn't stop Ocean. She was more than pissed off at the moment. She continued to hit Veronica over and over even when she passed out.

I saw warriors rushing to stop her, but no one could touch her because she attacks back.

I quickly went there and held her. I guess from my touch she knew it was me and she calmed down.

She stood up and looked at me and then everyone.

“Listen to me, everyone. My mate here has proved herself worthy of being my mate and the luna. So I won't entertain any objection from anyone. She is going to be the luna, and that's final. Now dismissed.” I said before I picked up my mate. I began to walk back home as I mind linked the doctor to hurry up and come over to my house to take care of her.

“You did well, baby.” I said to her.

“I had to win this because she can't have my mate and my children.” she said in a tired voice.

I was about to ask her what she meant by that when she went still in my arms.
