“These are the same people that killed Cynthia. What do you think is going to happen to Melissa?” She says to Julian and he immediately looks at me with a sad look.
Was I surprised at what she said?
Absolutely.
She just answered seventy percent of my questions without even knowing. A part of me felt really happy knowing that Julian wasn’t directly responsible for her death. It wasn’t his hands that killed my mother. A faint smile makes it’s way to my face but I am quick to cover it up before either of them sees.
