My eyes flutter open as I try to adjust to the blinding light in the room.
I could hear the voices of people in the room but only one sounded familiar.
It was almost as though they were trying to talk in hushed voices. After a few attempts, I finally open my eyes to be met Grace who has panic written all over her face along with two nurses.
“How do you feel Melissa?” She asks, rushing over to me the minute she sees that I am no longer asleep.
The two nurses stand at the corner like statues, observing me and writing whatever on the note they were holding.
“I feel tired. What happened?” I ask, not quite sure of why I was currently on a bed with two nurses above who looked like they just finished running a test on me.
