Christian POV
Christian had swayed Mackenzie into letting him come to her guestroom to get some rest. They had spent the afternoon together, enjoying a picnic on the grass with Mackenzie’s friend Valery and her mate Brayden.
Mackenzie’s little jokes had caused him to chase after her, while she ran away from him, laughing. After he had finally caught her and pinned her to the ground, their laughter died down, causing them to stare at each other in a comfortable silence until he could no longer hold back and kissed her hungrily.
He let his hands slide down her body, before Mackenzie abruptly broke the kiss, telling him she was tired.
She was out cold, her head lying on his chest. He stared at her, and the rising and falling of her chest with each breath. She was so beautiful, he thought
