Chapter Five (Mature Content)

If Eva came here I don't want to even think about what would happen with Hope. Her walls are already up and she can barely look at me. So I did what I had to keep Hope. I texted her back quickly

"As Alpha of this pack, you are not welcome here until I allow it or my Luna allows it. So don't bother coming here. I already told you I have a mate and cannot lose her.  I will meet you somewhere else so we can talk."

I didn't want to hurt Hope any more than she was already hurting, and I couldn't let Eva come here. If Hope saw her she would leave me for sure, the only way to settle this would be to meet Eva somewhere soon. This was my chance of finding out what the hell is going on and put an end to all this.

Hope was in the shower and I had a ton of work to finish but I couldn't focus on anything with her mad at me. So I waited for her to finish. I had the urge to walk in on her shower and f**k her senseless. I really miss her but she is so infuriating sometimes, no most of the time, she drives me crazy.

She walks out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her

"Why are you still here?" She asked looking away from me. f**k.

"I can't be in my own home?" I asked as she walked by me towards her closet, I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her down onto my lap. She tried to get up but I wasn't letting her go anywhere.

"Please, let's talk" I pulled her closer into my chest and wrapped her in both my arms.

"How is any of this my fault?" I asked her running my hand through her wet hair.

She took a deep breath and looked right into my eyes "It's your fault because you haven't rejected her"

Well f**k. She was right I hadn't rejected her but I will after I talk to her.

"Baby, first of all Hunter never acknowledged her as my mate. And second IF she is my mate I will reject her but I can't do it before talking to her. She was once my friend and I owe her that"

"You owe her that?" She asked and tried to get out of my grip.

"Yes, I do. She and I were friends once just like you, Jason and Gavin you gave them both a chance and you saved both of them. I'm going to reject her if she's my mate but after I talk to her and explain that I have a mate and don't need anyone else."

"I don't want you to go see her. I don't trust her." She said glaring at me. Feisty, I like it.

"I told her I'd meet her soon"

"When did you talk to her?" She tensed up again and turned away.

"No, no don't do that Hope." I turned her face towards me so she wouldn't get lost in her own thoughts

"She sent me a message that she was coming here but I don't want her presence here to upset you, so I told her we'd meet somewhere else."

"No! I saw how she was looking at you!" She raised her voice. I won't judge her I would kill anyone who tried to take her away from me.

"I'm going to meet her for a drink that's all, you have to trust me" She didn't respond

"Do you trust me?" I asked

"I trust you but I also saw the way you looked at her"

"I'm sorry I felt a slight pull towards her but that's it I don't want anyone but you. And I wouldn't do anything to risk losing you or what we have." I brought my hand up to her face "Please trust me"

"I want her to come here, you can talk to her here. In your office or wherever not here at our house"

"Of course I'd never bring her here to our house" I kissed her shoulder "Are we ok?" She looked at me apprehensively then nodded her head.

"Words baby"

"Yes, we're okay. I love you" She said. I was so f*****g relieved.

"I love you too"

Finally, she wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me tight. I stuffed my head into the crook of her neck. Heaven. I hate fighting with her.

"Did you have a good run?" I said running my hand up her leg

"Yeah I did and I met another Stark wolf"

"Really? Wow how did that happen?" I asked thinking about all ways I'm going to make her scream my name in a few minutes

"It just happened when I was out running"

"Does she have the same powers as you?" I asked tracing my fingers up her arm I love watching how my touch leaves goose bumps on her skin

"He does yeah" I immediately snapped out of the trance she had me trapped in

"He?" I glared at her. I must have misheard her

"Yeah he, I met another Star…"

"I heard you the first time, why are you out meeting other werewolves" She winced at my tone.

"I'm not out meeting other wolves, I was out jogging and he said hi that's all" She said. I was fuming. All prior thoughts of f*****g her flew out the window.

"What pack is he in?" I asked then remembered what she was wearing before her shower.

She thought about it for a second, "He didn't say, why are you so angry?" She looked at me innocently, pushing every f*****g one of my buttons.

"I just met a guy while jogging that's all, you have to trust me" She ironically used my words against me batting her lashes at me. I do trust my f*****g enchantress.

She got off my lap to go get dressed. Not so fast Hope. I pulled her back, tearing the towel off her body and tossed her on the bed. She shrieked as I took my shirt off and got on top of her. I took both her hands in one of mine and pinned them over her head

"So what does this f*****g new friend of yours do?"  She laughed as my other hand roamed all over her t**s and down to her stomach. I squeezed lightly at her side where she is ticklish. She broke out laughing and arching her back.

"Answer me" She kept laughing and wiggling to get free. Hearing her laugh made me smile. I wish we could stay like this forever. Minus her meeting some f*****g guy and minus Eva and all the drama.

"Can we meet tonight please we need to talk"

"Okay come we can talk here" I texted her back

"Okay meet me at Nick's Bar at six I won't be staying long so don't be late"

"Okay I'll see you there" She texted back

I held Hope tight. It felt so good to hold her. After a few minutes I got up, got dressed and went down to my office to try and finally get some work done.
