Chapter 8 - In the Palace

I just watched them and couldn't help but stare at Odelia.

Why didn't you say you weren't coming back?

"Prince Tyler, the emperor calls you." the royal guard whispered who came next to me.

My eyes turned to my wife and I approached the emperor and bowed before him.

"Apologize to them right now, Tyler because they are related to princess Michelle and Prince Mencius along with you and my daughter." the king ordered me immediately.

I was stunned by what the king said. I went back to my wife and whispered.

"Your father doesn't like what you're doing and the way you embarrass him in front of important people has now stopped," I whispered to her and she turned her gaze to me and just looked at me evilly.

"No," she said.

When she approached our companions, I grabbed her arm to stop her.

"They're going to prison us, princess Michelle where did that just happen, OA? Hi, prince Mencius!" Odelia just said to prince Mencius when they both looked at each other I felt a little jealous.

"Is that all?" tanong ni princess Michelle sa amin at tumingin sa kanila.

"Yes, and everyone who scolded me you already know that," Odelia said to princess Michelle shaking her head.

Huminga na lang ako at nailang naman ako sa titig ng katabi ni Odelia na nalaman ko na pamangkin niya.

"Bitter!" Odelia's niece said she was stunned when they both stared at each other.

Hinihigpitan ko ang hawak ko sa asawa ko ng papalagan na ito sa tabi ko.

"Sorry, but the princess has no right to imprison these two." seryosong sambit ni princess Michelle sa amin at humarap siya sa katabi namin.

I can't believe what princess Michelle said, who are they in Odelia's life and their treatment of both of them seems not ordinary.

"Why? Because you're close to them? It's obvious because you let them insult you and disrespect you." My wife replied to them that she surrounded Princess Michelle even though she knew the person in front of us was not ordinary, the royal guards who were with them blocked her.

Princess Michelle sent away the royal guards who were with them and they followed immediately I approached my wife to drag her away.

"They are respectful, princess to people they know the attitude and character they show, you interrupted my sister." Princess Michelle said as she stopped the two of us and turned her gaze to Odelia and her husband.

What do they have?

My wife shouted at them and I made her stop.

Sibling? Does she have siblings?

"You don't even have the right to ban me." banggit ng asawa ko at nakikita sa mukha niya na hindi siya makapaniwala sa narinig mula kay princess Michelle pinatigil niya ang asawa niya ng duduruin siya ng asawa ko.

I was surprised by what princess Michelle said, Odelia her sister? This is also the sister of prince Mencius, are the three of them siblings? The relationship between two royal couples is forbidden.

"My sister is the one you want to imprison! You are in a royal family but you don't know the law?" princess Michelle seriously exclaimed, they turned their eyes to Odelia who did not speak or remain silent in front of us.

We looked at my wife who still couldn't believe it.

"How?" my wife mentioned them before looking around.

"The news about our family was widespread, emperor you know Odelia Swellden, the doctor's daughter, and my mother healed you." sambit ni princess Michelle nang humarap sa empreror.

Everyone who was standing turned to us and Odelia, she just shook her head before bowing suddenly.

We all faced the king and my wife still didn't move.

"Odelia Swellden? You're the girl who is the daughter of Mitchelle Swellden, the nurse doctor who died in the accident that didn't just expose her death?" the king replied to them no one spoke and I noticed that prince Mencius looked at Odelia.

The princess spoke to us and turned her gaze to my wife, me and the king, and those who were with us inside the palace.

"My sister didn't come here for you or with your husband, and we have a house here in America to live in. This is also where your father treated our mother when she was alive." princess Michelle said to all of us, they didn't answer the king's question to them, I can't believe that she really has no intention of coming back here, even then?

Odelia didn't really speak and she didn't even bother with what was happening in front of her. I turned my gaze to my wife who was looking at Odelia badly.

"It's a personal matter why we're here and it's not my fault if you're not looking at what you're walking by, you're going to blame it on my Auntie? Ate Michelle, I mean, princess Michelle, I really shouldn't be going to the mall because ate Odelia forced me to I have a different view, ate Odelia will not return to America if not for me." the one named Aisha answered who is Odelia's niece, princess Michelle and prince Mencius.

The relationship between the two royal couples is forbidden because they are siblings and their relationship is incest if Odelia is their sister.

"They have a reason, emperor your daughter princess is too proud of her position." Princess Michelle said they were wearing modern clothes but their aura as royalty was still there.

"My wife and my sister and my niece are leaving," Prince Mencius said, everyone suddenly became silent I saw the shock in the eyes of my wife and I when I saw that Prince Mencius hugged Odelia.

I was a little envious of what I saw.

She used to put her family first, I wish she had just told me that she wouldn't come back and that our relationship was just like a game.

"Did ate Odelia tell you that we have arrived here?" Aisha said.

"Yes, I was told first and then this is what I'm going to put in front of me? Just live in Los Angeles, Odelia." prince Mencius answered.

"I'll let you and your relatives go for now because I think my daughter made a mistake in what she did, you just happened to know each other so they reacted like that, prince Mencius and princess Michelle." the emperor answered them.

Everyone seemed shocked by what the king said, I turned my gaze to my wife, I wanted to see her reaction.

I looked at their royal guards suddenly alert because the prince had spoken to them.

Who are you, Odelia?

If you are the brother of prince Mencius and princess Michelle are you also part of the royal family?

"Queen, princess Ysa Duke, what have you done? You want to imprison the royal family, you are a shameful woman! Apologize!" the king ordered his daughter and my wife, she shouted and just ranted.

"No!" my wife shouted.

When she was about to attack Odelia, the prince blocked it and the royal guard who was with the royal couple blocked the two of them.

"We're leaving, I'll just talk again, emperor." prince Mencius said he held Odelia's hand and they walked out of the palace, so I just sighed.

They didn't just know each other when their eyes met earlier when I noticed that they were both siblings.

"Dad, she is the woman who will take my husband away from me." my wife shouted.

We heard the whispers of the people who were still there so the king and the royal guards sent it away. They all obeyed even though their faces showed the certainty that it was true and wasn't what they discovered earlier.

"Ysa, I'm the one who was embarrassed by what you did earlier, I don't know how to deal with them and talk to them." the king said and he stood up and approached the two of us.

I just watched them both.

"She will steal my husband, dad." my wife answered.

The king slapped his daughter in the face for the first time I've ever seen it done.

"A deal will be ruined because of what you did! You heard it and you are not deaf it is not your husband that is the reason and Odelia Swellden is here or whoever is the woman in your husband's past, overthinking!!! Their mother saved me when I was almost killed by people we didn't know." the king shouted.

The king told us that the family of the royal couple and their families on the mother and father's side are not ordinary.

"They are part of a family that is rich businessmen in the Philippines and China, not only here and their clan is not only part of doing business, it's hard to fight them when you do something they don't like." the king answered.

"The king did not specify anything to them.

"Who are they, dad?" I will ask.

"There was a terrible accident in their family prince Mencius and princess Michelle changed they became alert which was surprising but, the last time I saw Odelia Swellden was just a teenager but, because she resembles her mother she became familiar to me earlier." the king said.

I wonder what the king mentioned, he is referring to the kidnapping incident with the royal couple and the news suddenly disappeared?

We just heard that the abductors of the princess were found bloodied and lifeless in an abandoned place?

"They've told me to be careful with them because if I do something unpleasant to them I won't recognize them as kind, and even though I'm nervous I feel like they're kind." the emperor answered us.

My wife held her face surprised by her father slapping her. The king told his daughter not to try to get back what he brought with her to the Palace because the king didn't want trouble between the royal couple.

"Dad, are you afraid of them? Why are you afraid?" my wife curiously mentioned to the king.

I also noticed the king avoiding the people we met earlier.

"I respect them the same way they respect us so I'm surprised you did that, Ysa because Tyler and Odelia Swellden have a past you're going to throw a tantrum?" the emperor said.

The emperor said that if his deal with the royal couple was ruined, my wife would be grounded in the palace and she would not be able to come out until he ordered.

"You're too old to mess up like that, Ysa and I hope you'll be satisfied with what Tyler gave you, it's hard to force people to love you even after you've been together for a long time, and I'm not blind so I don't see that when the two of you are together, no love is formed between the two of you." the emperor replied seriously to us.

The king dismissed us from his presence and I just dragged my wife away and brought her to our room which was the size of the hall.
