Emery and I and just finished packing up the SUV when we heard Chris yelling at us. “Are you seriously leaving without saying goodbye?” I had turned and seen both Lucy and Chris walking our way. I could tell Lucy was worried by what kind of reception she would receive from us. I walk around the SUV and come up next to Emery as she is giving a huge to Chris. I let out a small rumble and Chris looks over at me smiling. “Don’t start. Last time was a fluke and the only reason you knocked me out was because Emery wore me down.” I laugh out loud. “Keep believing that.” I smile as Emery punches me in my arm. I hurry and bring her in for a peck on the lips. Claiming her as mine in front of everyone.
