Riley's POV By the time Theo returns, night has fallen. Soft music floats through the air, the product of Ella trying to calm some of the tension around me. The aroma of dinner wafts through the rooms. A mixture of baked chicken and wine that honestly whets my appetite. “Ah... So there you are," Theo murmurs, sitting down next to me on the couch. I look at him curiously. He looks tired, but totally in control of himself. He puts his feet up on the coffee table and I notice that he has the first two buttons of his white shirt loose and his sleeves rolled up over his pale, shapely arms. I look at him with interest, and he smiles when he notices that I do. “How was your day, did you study like I asked you to?" His question makes me feel like a schoolgirl.
