Grew Up

Rosie peaked her head into the cabin and by the way the cabin was so silent and covered in dark she concluded that no one was awake yet. She looked behind her and saw Noah still standing in front of her cabin with hands over his arms as he stared at her, waiting for her to go in.

“ Good bye, Alpha.” Rosie whispered as she blew a kiss at him and giggled at the Alpha who flustered immediately at the action and awkwardly waved his hand at the Omega. Rosie giggled to herself again, her think hand covering her mouth as she looked at the Alpha who had her heart in his palms. She waved once again before walking straight inside. She closed the door behind her as slowly and as quietly as she can after giving one last smile at her Alpha.

And then she tried to make her way upstairs into the room which she shares with her sister and failing miserably as she heard the voice of someone she was praying to not to see now. She closed her eyes as she knew what was coming.

“ Where were you, young lady?” The voice asked and Rosie closed her eyes even more tighter at her bad luck and turned around to see none other than her mother sitting by the window of the cabin with a half finished woollen blanket. She was preparing the gifts for her daughter’s mating ceremony.

Rosie gulped at her mother’s not so stern voice but she already knew that, her mother was upset even though her voice was not letting it out. Her mother can be an extremely scary Omega.

“ The – The weather was so nice, mom. I thought that it would be a crime if I don’t go out for a walk. “ Rosie said, flinging her arms as to show her excitement while being a stuttering mess and her mother looked up at her from the blanket. She c****d her brow up .

“ Really? What was so pleasant in the weather that you decided to go out in the midnight?” She asked , the hall being illuminated by the fire burning in the fire place. “ And that too in your best dress? You know right that I stitched this dress as a gift for your marriage?” her mother asked as she eyed the worn out dress her daughter was wearing.

Rosie suddenly felt like a child again. She used to get a earful from her mother because she always soil her white dress. But as she grew up, she became more elegant and now it was Fleur who would soil her own dress repeatedly but their mother never scold her. Fleur being the youngest get away with everything.

Without saying anything she just walked forward towards her mother, walking funnily like a pup who is pouting.

“ I am sorry.” She said as she sat in the floor in front of her mom’s chair and rested her head on her lap like she did when she was just a kid. Her mother’s eyes immediately soften at the gesture . She placed the blanket on the sofa, needle still attached to it and brought her hand to caress Rosie’s soft long locks that now had leaves and twigs attached to them. She gently removed them.

“ I know that the hunting team came back.” She said with a teasing smile on her face as she continued to scratch her daughter’s scalp softly . A beautiful shade of blush painted over her cheeks as she hide her face in her mother’s lap. “ Your Noah isn’t going to run away anytime soon , you know that right?” She added and Rosie whined in return.

Rosie groaned further at her as she rubbed her face in her lap and slowly lifted her head to look at her mother’s face.

“ I --- I was just missing him. My Omega was restless that he is not near me. I don’t know what to do with her anymore, she is always restless. I wasn’t--- wasn’t able to sleep last night at all. So I had to go and find my Alpha.” She explained with a pout on her full lips, they are similar to her mother’s. Her pout did wonders anyway and she knew the effect.

“ I guess now that you have decided to be mate with Noah, your Omega sees him as her Alpha. It will be hard for few days but after that it will be better..” her mother said as she removed another leaf off her hair. “ And pup, you need to take a bath before your father wakes up. He won’t be very happy to know that you went to the forest with no protection. You know how he gets when it comes to your safety.” She explained and Rosie nodded. Unlike her mother’s habit of letting both of her Omega daughter off guard without any actual threat , their Alpha father was a completely different from her . He was strict and had a quick sense of taking a right decision right away.

And when it comes to scolding them, their father goes all Alpha mode. He would scold them for hours and even makes them do things like cleaning the garden under the heavy sun until they both pass out. Rosie understands his concern and so she nor fleur take any offence when they are allotted with such work , instead they do as they are told and be quite.

But on the other had, their father also has a sweet , caring side that not many can come across to enjoy. He is very reserved person and he is also one of the advisor of the head Alpha so people look forward to him. He is both strict and gentle in his own way.

“ The mating day is fixed.” Rosie said as she kept her head on her folded arms in her mother’s lap. She wasn’t seeing but she could probably imagine her mother dramatic gasp and that made her to smile to herself.

“ What? Who told you?” Her mother asked, voice frantic and it was almost comical .

“ Head Alpha was in the hunting team too. He said that winter would start in few days and the full moon night is exactly one week away.” She said softly , suddenly feeling nostalgic as she let her head in her mother’s lap, something that she would hardly do.

Her mother was silent for few seconds , probably shocked by the news itself.

“ My baby girl had grown up so soon. It felt like yesterday when I had held you in my arms for the first time. When did you grow up so much?” Her mother asked as she leaned down as press a soft kiss in Rosie’s hair, tears were already lining on her long eyelashes.

Rosie had always felt ecstatic about marrying and mating . She had also numerous times imagined herself pregnant with Noah’s pup. If the pup would take after Noah, they would be beautiful. Her Alpha had a beautiful doe-like eyes, she would be above the ninth cloud if the baby takes on him.

She chuckled to herself, finding it stupid how she was thinking so far about their future.

She should be happy and she is happy to Marry the love of my life but her eyes were filled with tears thinking about how she has to leave her life away for starting a new journey.

“ Later, tell me what you would like to eat. I have one week too make you happy and I know that the way to your heart is by food.” Her mother muttered with a smile on her face as she wiped the tears off and Rosie looked up at her with glassy eyes.

“ I would miss you all so much m” she said to her mom as even more tears began to roll down her cheeks. Her mother was quick to wipe those tears off her face.

“ Stupid girl.” She scolded. “ You can come visit us anytime you want . It’s not like we aren’t going to meet ever again.” She said and Chuckled when Rosie began to completely cry in her lap.

“ I love you, I love Dad, I love my Baby sister so much. I will make sure that I visit here each day!” She said with determination in her voice and her eyes held no doubts.

“ I don’t think Noah would be very happy about this performance of yours. “ She teased to Rosie who blushed immediately.

After mating, Alpha and Omega can hardly stay away from each other.

“ Now quickly go and take a shower. You smell as if you were dip into the cedar wood scent.” Her mother wrinkled her nose and Rosie giggled.
