Chapter Fifteen
Lilly POV
I stare forlornly at the man sitting across from me. He’s been on my ass for three weeks.
He hasn’t hurt me, but he has threatened me. And he just told me something that will forever change my life.
“I’m leaving Aiden’s Mafia. I got offered a position in a Mafia elsewhere. And I’m taking you with me.”
I understand why Odelia tried to kill herself. She was trying to free herself from this life. In just the three weeks since she made an attempt on her life, I’ve thought about doing the same.
It would be better for everyone.
With me gone, Aiden would have no more leverage against Odelia. Maybe she could even run away to escape him.
But suicide is a last resort. It’s a fail-safe. I still think I have a chance to escape.
Which is exactly what I’m about to do.
