"There's a way we can find her. She may go to the police," Walter said.
"And tell them that a guy turned into a werewolf and bit her? No one will believe her. She won't do that," Blair shook her head.
"She could tell them about how I tried to suffocate her with a pillow, though," he said, shrugging.
Blair turned silent, as she stared at him in disbelief. In a moment, the ice cold expression was back on her face, once again making her completely unreadable to Walter.
"Get out," she said calmly, staring him straight in the eye.
"What?" Walter frowned. "You haven't told me wh-"
"I said," she interrupted. "Get the hell out."
"Blair, come on, don't-"
"It's Luna, for you. Leave, Walter. Right now," she ordered.
Walter stared at her silently for a short moment, visualizing all the ways he wanted to bring her to her senses, or to remind her of who she was talking to. But he knew it would invite too much trouble, and he already had plenty of problems on his hand.
"Very well, then," he gave her a small nod, before getting up. He turned around and was about to talk away, when Blair stopped him again.
"I don't know how Selene bears you. You're disgusting, Walter," she spat, and Walter clenched his jaw. His eyes began to glow, but he closed them, trying to maintain his calm. He took another step towards the exit, but halted again when Blair spoke. "And one more thing," she added. "If you ever come back here, I'll make sure you don't step out alive."
Walter smiled, and turned around to face her.
"Blair, Blair, Blair. My sweet little Blair," he mocked, a sinister smirk on his face, as his eyes gleamed blue. "You're going to regret this. I promise you."
Blair chose not to reply, and looked away from him. Walter chuckled, as he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his pants. "You'll never forget this day, and I'll never forget the beauty I saw outside, before coming in here," he winked at her. "You will see me again, my gorgeous little witch."
Walter casually exited the room, whistling a merry tune, hearing which Blair's skin got covered in goosebumps, and her heart beat paced. She let out a shaky breath, before her fear turned into anger, and she slammed her hand onto the table in front of her. He's the one who'll regret it, she repeated in her mind, before standing up from her throne.

"Mom?" Hayes grinned, tapping her shoulder.
"Yes, my love," Selene turned around to face him. A smile stretched across her own lips, seeing how happy her son looked. "What is it?" She placed her hands on her hips.
"She said yes!" Hayes exclaimed, almost jumping up and down in excitement. He picked Selene up into his arms, twirling her around. Selene laughed aloud, tapping his shoulder so he'd put her down, but Hayes refused to listen. "Mom, I'm so happy," he smiled. "I love her so much."
"I know," Selene laughed, cupping his cheek and placing a kiss on his forehead. "Now put me down."
Hayes chuckled and put her down on the floor, while Selene took his hands in hers.
"What did she say?" She smiled.
"She said she liked me since the very beginning," he replied. "And then we..." He trailed off, biting his lip. Selene narrowed her eyes at him, and slapped his arm.
"So that was the two of you," she scolded. "You should not have done that in this house, you know. You should have taken her some place more private."
"Well, she was keen on letting everyone know. Since I slept with Monica last night," Hayes shrugged.
"Right," Selene sighed. "I need to talk to you Son. Let's go to my room."
"Sure," Hayes nodded.
They made their way to her room, and she closed the door after Hayes had entered. She sat down on her bed, and Hayes sat beside her.
"Hayes, you're aware that you'll eventually find your mate, right?" Selene said softly, her eyebrows knitted together in motherly concern.
"Not necessarily," he shrugged.
"Assume you do. What will you do then?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Well then, I'll tell her that I'm in love with someone else," Hayes replied.
"My sweet boy," Selene smiled, running a hand through his hair. "You know when she will show up, you will forget about anyone else you have ever been with."
"I don't believe in that," Hayes frowned. "I'm going to write my own fate, Mom. No one has the right to decree it beforehand."
Selene sighed, frowning at her son. The person she loved the most in the entire world. Even more than his father, and she hadn't even known that was possible.
"You sound just like your father," she said softly, making Hayes's frown deepen.
"I'm not like him," he rolled his eyes.
"But I'm afraid you're going to follow in his foot steps," she replied. "You don't know what it's like when your mate talks about other women in your presence. It's heart breaking, Hayes. Don't do it to anyone."
"Father, is a jerk. I am not like him. And the way he treats you is exactly why I don't want a mate. He acts like you're his property, just because the Moon Goddess created you for him. You can't even leave him, because both of you will die if you do that. All of this is just one screwed up excuse to restrain wolves from their true potential," Hayes replied, his jaw clenched.
"Hayes," Selene sighed. "It is the way it is. You can't change the divine rules."
"I will. You'll see, Mom," Hayes replied with determination.
"Well, let's just hope your mate feels the same way. Or she's human. I don't want my son to be going around hurting women," she smiled, deciding to let go of the topic.
"The only woman I'll ever hurt is the one who dares to hurt you," Hayes replied, pulling his mother into a hug. "I love you so much, Mama. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me," he said softly.
"I love you more, my sweet boy. You have no idea how much I love you, and how proud I am of the man you're growing up to become. Stay like this always," she replied, hugging him back.
"As long as you're with me, everything will always remain the same," Hayes replied, before kissing the top of his mother's head.
At that very moment, Walter barged into the room, and slammed the door behind him. Hayes and Selene frowned, pulling away from the hug.
"What's wrong?" Hayes asked, studying his father's distressed expressions. He was pacing around the room, his eyes glowing a bright blue. "Dad, what happened?" Hayes asked, standing up.
"We've got a huge problem."

Rose smiled as she dried her hair, lost in her own thoughts. Thoughts that revolved around one single person: Hayes. She reminisced each and every touch of his, and the memory alone made her blush, as she mindlessly stared into space.
"Look who's standing here, blushing like a fool," a shrill voice snapped her out of her thoughts, along with the clicking of high heels on the tiled flooring.
"Monica," Rose acknowledged, without even having to turn around to face her. The smile on her face had instantly been replaced with a scowl.
"Yeah," Monica smiled, "Me."
"What do you want?" Rose rolled her eyes, spreading the wet towel on a chair to dry it.
"Just a conversation," Monica smirked, tilting her head to the side.
"Just say what you have to say and leave. I have things to do," Rose replied in a bored tone, finally turning to her. Monica's smile twitched slightly, but she covered it up almost instantly.
"Did you hear us?" Monica questioned.
"Hear what?" Rose frowned, feigning ignorance.
"When Hayes and I were wrapped around each other, moaning, screaming..." She trailed off, carefully studying the scowl forming on Rose's face. "You must've loved it, no? Hearing the love of your life have s*x with a random woman. You must have felt so pathetic."
"We both know who the pathetic one is, Monica," Rose replied, her jaw clenched. "And I guess your wolf ears haven't been working, or you'd know what happened after that." Rose smiled sarcastically.
"Oh my ears are fine," Monica replied, stepping closer to her in order to assert her dominance. She towered over Rose with her high heels, and being a werewolf, she was already much stronger than Rose was. "I heard how you became his second choice. How he chose to sleep with me before sleeping with you. How you gave up your virginity, to a man who had been used for s*x just a few hours ago."
"Shut up," Rose replied, as tears blurred her vision. "Get out of here."
"Aw, poor Rosy," Monica sang. "I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Falling in love with someone who is meant for someone else. Doesn't it bother you?" She feigned a concerned look. "That no matter how much he pretends to love you, one day, it will only take him a single glance at his soulmate and he'll leave your side? Even if you guys have children together."
"I don't wanna talk to you about this. Leave me alone Monica," Rose said, and turned around, not wanting her to see her tears. Monica smirked in victory, and stepped even closer to her, leaning down to whisper in her ear.
"Of course you've thought about that, how could you not?" She whispered, chuckling at the end. "It's the same thing that happened to your mother. You're so naive, so stupid, Rose. To let the history repeat itself. And it will. Because no matter what you do for him, Hayes will leave you one day. For the one who was created for him."
"That's, that's not gonna happen," Rose replied, closing her eyes, as a few tears rolled down her cheeks.
"You'll be here, like his side chick, standing up for him, doing everything you can for him. Just for him to leave you at the end," Monica mocked. "So tragic."
"Just leave me alone, Monica!" Rose replied, sniffing.
"You know I'm right," she said, stepping away from her. "I'm only saying this out of concern for you. Don't destroy your life for him. Because trust me, Rose. I know Hayes better than you do. And he's not what you think he is. Mark my words."
Monica walked away, leaving Rose alone to sulk in her thoughts, her heart getting crushed into tiny pieces. She always knew all of that, but she did not need a reality check just after losing her virginity to him.
What have I done to myself? She thought to herself as she fell to the ground, loud sobs escaping her lips.
