My son turns 18 today. It's hard to believe he is a man now, because in my heart he will always be that funny little blonde-haired boy who used to mimic my every move. It's bittersweet for sure.
When we decided to hold his celebration at Brave River, I was under the impression that all of our family would be there. Unfortunately, Asteria and Donavon couldn't make it. Their youngest, Aren, was admitted to the hospital last night after being attacked by a group of rogues while camping with some friends. Aren was lucky to make it out of the situation alive.
We have chosen not to tell the kids about it yet, because it would put a damper on Sterling's day. Especially since my son is very fond of his cousin. Aren is a good kid, but struggles socially. He has his own small group
