Samantha and I decided to pull my parents to the side before the party got into full swing to let them know we would like to wait at least another two months before taking over the throne.
I know my dad is ready to retire and just be a regular person again, but I hope he can at least give me a little longer to finish the training I'm lacking. It will also give Samantha a chance to learn a little about royal life as well. This is all new to her, and even though I know she will do a great job, she is very nervous.
We arrived at the party site, and everything looked amazing. I couldn't believe how perfect it was. My mom did an amazing job, and I needed to make sure she knew how much I appreciated her for pulling this together.
