*Mel POV*
When we were informed of Jameson fighting the vampire alone, we followed behind Sterling as we went to help. Ruby thought he wasn't moving fast enough so we shifted and ran past them.
However, when we reached Jameson's house, I had Ruby stop and shift back to my human form. "Sterling, is that Jameson?" I asked. I knew that it was, but for some reason I felt the need to ask. I let out another gasp, and started to yell words of encouragement at him.
I wasn't sure he had heard me, so I tried to send him a mind link, and thankfully it went through. I told him that it was alright to be confused about how to use his new-found powers, and explained to him how to focus and use them. When I saw him doing what I had instructed, I knew he was hearing me.
