I invited my parents to dinner and they immediately agreed.
They brought hands full of sweets and chocolates.
“How are you, Josie?” Mother hugged me.
Her grip was so strong around my body that I could barely breathe.
As if she wasn't enough, Father hugged me with the same tight grip.
They were doing this because of my property, no doubt about it.
Grandma appeared and interrupted their toxic hug or one could say torture.
“So you two are Josie's parents!” Words came out of her mouth.
“Nice to meet you.” Both of them smiled.
“Why did you invite us?”
“Is something special?”
Father furrowed his brows and looked at us with curious eyes.
“Gabriel is getting married again, that's why I wanted to see you.”
