Chapter 7 - Arrival of Serah!

Ezra's pov
The red stone turned blue and everyone was too stunned to say anything!
"She is your fated mate, Alpha!" Nikolai spoke, attracting everyone's attention to his words.
This is a miracle, all these years I never felt anything from my mate but recently, after Kendrick's death I started feeling her emotions.
Maybe because all these years Kendrick was the one who felt her energy, now that he is gone I was able to feel her, too!
Unlike others, Larisa fixed her gaze on the fate marble. I wanted to take a glimpse of her pale face to satisfy myself yet she didn't look me in the eyes.
Fate is really hard to understand, Larisa was my brother's fated mate and now she is my fated mate though she is the only wolf alive with a mate as her biggest enemy!
This revelation of fate made me realize that the pain I was feeling was all because of Larisa, and the connection I sensed when I looked into her eyes was all real.
The urge for my revenge is supported by destiny, and I am in power to give her the same pain she caused my brother!
Moon goddess is in my favor and now that my path is clear, I must follow the light of revenge in the cruelest way possible.
Death won't be easy for her!
"Seems like moon goddess chose her for you, she is the fortunate one with two fated mates even though Kendrick is no more, she still has you!" One of the elders said.
Larisa turned her head towards the elders and a warm bright smile flashed on her lips as if she was really happy with the moon goddess's decision!
"We give you our blessings!" The elders said and vanished.
As soon as they left, I grabbed Larisa's wrist and dragged her with me to her room!
Stepping inside the room I locked the door and slightly pushed her to the back, her small body hit the wall behind her and she groaned furiously. For the very first time I heard her groaning, she is definitely strong yet scared to fight back or maybe her body is losing its power because of all the scars I witnessed before.
"What is all this?" She asked.
"Are you happy that I am your fated mate?" I twisted my question.
I could tell from her sharp gaze that she is building hatred inside her yet trying her best to suppress the emotions!
"I do not wish to answer!" She replied with a strong tone.
"Then why were you smiling in front of the elders?" I asked angrily.
"I smiled because I am going to be free, my end is near, and soon you will bury me deep inside the ground, I am waiting for that day!" Her unexpected answer revealed the emptiness hiding inside her body.
I thought she was in pain because of my harsh treatment but it seems I was wrong, and there is more to the story.
Bemused by her answer, I left the room and mind-linked Nikolai.
"Nikolai, meet me in the garden now!" I ordered.
"Yes, Alpha!" He replied within a second.
I met Nikolai in the garden and asked him the question that was bothering me the whole day "does she have any bad past?"
Nikolai gave me a look of confusion and asked "what do you mean, Alpha?"
He was as clueless as me!
I only knew Larisa as Kendrick's mate, I wasn't aware of her story or her life before she met Kendrick, and her scars made it even more impossible for me to suppress my curiosity about her past!
"I want to know her history, every single thing about her and her family!" I commanded.
"Yes, Alpha!" Having said that, Nikolai vanished.
Shortly after Nikolai's departure, I heard a familiar voice calling my name. I turned my head in the direction of that voice and found 'Serah' waving her hand at me.
"Serah, what are you doing here?" Her unexpected arrival put me into a dilemma!
"A sister is visiting her brother, what's wrong with it?" She replied yet her eyes were saying something else as if she is here with an ulterior motive!
" Tell me the truth or I won't allow you to enter my residence!" My threat turned her eyes red with anger.
"Serah, what is goi..." Interrupting my sentence in the middle, she spoke in her rage-filled voice
"I am here to kill that b***h!"
