One of the prison guards rushed to the judgment ground and informed everyone "Aris is dead!"
The elders got up from their seats and their gazes shifted to me.
"What have you done, Ezra?
As soon as they learned about his death, all their fingers pointed at me, and why not?
I was the only one who was so desperate to kill him last night!
"He was under your protection, so it was your responsibility to look after him, you can't blame me for your fault!" Hearing my words, their eyes turned red with rage, yet they couldn't answer me as the whole crowd started whispering about their negligence.
"We are going to investigate his death and meanwhile be prepared everyone, clan rivalry might soon break out!" Having said that, the elders vanished.
