Hey lovely readers,
Thanks for reading!
This is the sequel of the Mafia's Daughter. You can read the books separately, but for the background story I suggest you read The Mafia's Daughter first, but it's not necessary.
The Mafia's Daughter is about Vincenzo and Valentina, Riccardo's sister.
On the side of the busy street, in an old alley, is a small office. The office is not very noticeable and you will only find it if you know where it is.
And if you know where it is and how to get there, it means that you either work for Jimmy and Bobby Olson or that you have debts to Jimmy. And if you have debts, you better not come here…
John Ward walks into the alley with a pit in his stomach.
He knocks on the door and a big muscular man opens the door and grins at John. It's Bobby, he's Jimmy's twin brother. Bobby is the calm and collected one.
"Come in John." He steps away. "Jimmy is expecting you." The big man shows the way to a room where the door is open.
The office is not luxurious, it is rather old and worn, the walls are daubed, it smells musty, the wallpaper lets go, the doors are affected by rot, and there is a crack in the office door's window.
John knows he can't go back, he's taken the first step inside and the man at the door now only opens the door when Jimmy gives him the order.
"John?" he hears Jimmy's voice and John walks into the room where Jimmy is leaning against a table.
"Where's my money John?" asks Jimmy. John starts apologizing and begs for more time.
"More time?" Jimmy starts laughing.
"John.” Jimmy sighs and he’s shaking his head.
“ You've had more than two years, the debts are running high. I don't feel like waiting anymore." Jimmy informs him and he looks at one of the men outside the office, not Bobby, but Rusty enters the office and Jimmy grins when John gets hit hard. John doesn’t stand a chance against former professional boxer Rusty.
After a good beating, Rusty leaves. Jimmy drags John out of the office by his hair, into the alley, leaving a trail of blood behind them.
"John," Jimmy pulls the man by his hair as he lies on the ground in the alley in the dark. He spits blood out of his mouth, which only makes Jimmy laugh harder.
"You have a beautiful daughter John, if you can't pay, she's the p*****t," Jimmy informs him, and John begs to leave his daughter alone. Jimmy is already responsible for the murder of John's wife, and John does everything he can to keep his daughter out of the hands of the terrible criminals.
"Then I would quickly pay John, because otherwise.." Jimmy grins.
"What's her name is Bobby again?" he asks his twin brother. Bobby also steps forward grinning.
"Vivian." He answers
"Vivian.." Jimmy repeats. "I don't have that one yet, John. I don't have Vivian to play with." He laughs.
"I think she's still nice and tight John, how old is she again?" Jimmy asks, but John doesn't want to answer anymore, his eyes get heavy, and his head hurts.
He's had too many blows.
"She's too young," John answers softly, and then Jimmy drops him with his head on the floor.
"I like too young. You'll pay, otherwise Vivian is mine." Jimmy yells and he and his men leave and leave John bleeding in the alley.
John knows this is bad, he knows he had never gone to the Olson brothers, but life forced him to.
When he can move around again, he gets up and goes home.
His daughter is no longer shocked by how her father comes home, it is every month that he comes home like this and Vivian then takes care of his wounds.
Since her mother was murdered a few years ago during a brutal robbery, she is alone with her father and they still live in that same house.
Vivian found her mother, but unfortunately too late.
Like all those times before, Vivian takes care of her father's wounds and when he is in bed, Vivian goes back to work in the yoga studio, a five-minute walk from her house.
She has been working there since she was sixteen. She had to because, after the death of her mother, her father collapsed and there was not always enough money to make ends meet.
Vivian is also following training as a physical therapist and is about to finish it and can use that as well. Then she can finally start earning more money and, hopefully, she can then live somewhere else with her father, so that, hopefully, he is doing better, or she have to leave him behind.
The poor Vivian is working two jobs and trying to finish her degree.
She walks into the studio and starts her classes. She sees the owner of the studio watching. The big sexy bald boss.
He is always watching her. She is not scared of him, although the man is big, bold, and covered in tattoos.
He has nice eyes.
Kind eyes.
“Good evening Vivian.” The boss greets her.
“Good evening Mr. Olson.” She answers kindly back at him.
When it was necessary, she asked him for more hours, so she could finish her education. The boss agreed to it, and even funded a part of the education if Vivian promised to work with the studio for at least five years.
And the young Vivian happily agreed.
Every day for the past six months the same thing happens.
Vivian goes to school in the morning, does her internships in the afternoon, takes care of her father and after dinner, she goes to the studio to do yoga.
Her only day off is Sundays. And on Sundays she works on her website. She has a website full of yoga tips and tricks and lessons about how to be good for your body.
It’s just a starting company, but from the looks of it, it’s starting to work.
Her boss was impressed and helped her set it up. The only thing he wanted in return was a mention of the studio on the website, which Vivian happily agreed to.
“Vivian, do you have a sec?” her boss asked her after her latest yoga lesson.
“Yes, of course.” She answers politely as always. The young Vivian walks into the office of her boss, who is leaning against his desk. “I was thinking. You work so hard, you are always here, and you graduate in a couple of days. How about a celebration?” he asked her.
Vivian's eyes lit up.
“A celebration? Here?” she asked.
Her boss shakes his head.
“No, you like yoga so much, so I was thinking of going to a retreat?” he suggests.
“A yoga retreat?” she asked.
She always wanted to do that, but, she has not yet saved up enough, and her best friend doesn’t want to go.
“Yes, just a weekend, not too long, since I know you take care of your dad.” He tells her and Vivian thinks.
“Well, let me talk to my dad about that, but I really like that idea.” She tells her boss.
“Good talk it over and let me know.” Her boss smiles at her.
“When is it?” she asks.
“Uhm let’s see.” Her boss walks to his computer.
“in two weeks.” He tells her.
Vivian nods.
“ Oh, and Vivian, please, don’t call me Mr. Olson again, it’s fine when you’re teaching, but when it’s just the two of us, please don’t. We are equals.” He winks at her.
She blushes "Okay, well thank you Bobby and I will let you know.” She answers and leaves the studio to go home.
On her way home, she calls her friend to tell her about her boss Bobby, her secret crush.
She’s going on a yoga retreat with her secret crush, her boss, Bobby Olson.
She walks home, surrounded by the pink cloud she’s on, only to find her father beaten up again…
