I figured out after a few weeks that my mother somehow managed to get my phone records. She told me Tessa had informed her that we were working through things, but she took it as Tessa and I were back together. I still had no working bank or credit cards, courtesy of my mother, until I proved to her I was done with Mia. Meaning unless I stopped contacting Mia for two months, I’d remain penniless. I tried calling Mia a couple of times but only got her voicemail. I didn’t know what to say, ‘sorry I’ve been so sporadic in calls, dealing with my mother’s bullshit?’ This is how it will be every time I ship out until my service is finished.
