Asher gave me a disgusted look, but I didn’t care. I needed answers, and Peach wasn’t in the right state of mind right now, so I would ask him what happened.
“Why are you still here, Cody?” he asked, completely ignoring my question. “Don’t you get that you don’t need to be here?” he added, annoyance lacing his tone.
“What happened to Peach? Why is she coming from the hospital?” I asked, a mix of annoyance and concern in my voice.
“I don’t have time for this, Cody. I’m already exhausted, and if you must know…” he said with a suspenseful tone. “It’s none of your business,” he added with a smirk before walking away. I clenched my fist in frustration but knew it would be useless to get mad. I needed to find out what was wrong with Peach, but that would have to wait until tomorro
