Amon's POV
Cody will be smart enough to figure out my trick after meeting with Zaheer, but that doesn't change anything for me. I need to make sure he is out of our house for good and never comes back. This is the perfect time to inform my father about this. After all, he brought Cody here; he can get rid of him too.
As I approach my dad's room, I know for a fact he should be home at this hour. I knock calmly on his door, expecting an immediate response. But there's nothing. I try the handle, but the door is locked. Either he's inside and ignoring me, or he isn't home yet. Strange. My dad never locks his door. This is the first time I've seen it locked. As I ponder this, a housekeeper comes down the hallway.
"Miss, why is this door locked?" I ask as she approaches.
