I couldn’t believe how easy it had been to manipulate Mr. Zaheer into telling the police exactly what I wanted him to. As I walked out of the station, a smug smile played on my lips. Victory was sweet, especially when it came so effortlessly. I spotted Emily pacing nervously outside, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw me.
"Cody!" she called, rushing over. "How did it go? Will Mr. Zaheer be out soon?"
I smirked, enjoying the suspense before giving her the news. "It's all done. He’ll be out soon. You should be happy."
