Peach’s POV I couldn’t help but worry about Cody. His face was bruised and swollen, evidence of Asher's fury. I understood that Asher was going through a rough patch, but that didn’t justify him using Cody as a punching bag. I approached Cody cautiously, my heart heavy with concern. "Are you okay?" I asked softly. He glanced at me and managed a faint smile. "I'm fine, Peach. Really." I watched in amazement as the bruises and cuts on his face began to fade, his skin knitting back together seamlessly.
