Alaric's POV:
I return downstairs after making sure Mackenzie is okay, Sarah, my brother, and his girlfriend are nowhere to be seen.
"Where are they?"
Dad glares at me, "a word", he pulls me to my home office.
He shuts the door, "what were you thinking Alaric? You just embarrassed our family in front of everyone!" He yells.
"Dad, I-"
"No, I warned you about Mackenzie, but you didn't listen, until you learn responsibility I'll be postponing the date of when I am officially letting you become CEO until further notice."
"What? You can't do that."
"I just did, Mr. Brown and his family left, I am sure Mackenzie is faking it so I'll tell her to leave, you think about what you just did, if you jeopardize this marriage, you can kiss your inheritance goodbye", he leaves the room.
