I need to get the hell out of here

2805 Words
Sheyken was in his cell on the bed looking up. He just could not sleep. He wanted to think about something but nothing was coming up in his mind until..... 'Beak - hyun, I wish you were here. I just saw... well I don't know what I saw, but the fight was out of this world. All I could see were explosions and after images of both of them. If you were here at that moment Beak -hyun, I know you would have for a moment forgotten about your miserable love life.' Sheyken smiled, trying to find solace with his one and only friend's misfortune with girls to calm his mind down. Thinking about how he died, he knew there was something he had to do before he could let his friend go from his heart and that was to find the demon, and whoever sent it to make them pay. With those thoughts, he again tried to think about the fight, but still, it wasn't that simple..... 'How the hell can a snail which can be trampled on by almost everything on Earth be so powerful here? I mean, that thing was going against a Lich.... a Lich... and to make things worse it was using just one attack, or did I miss something. I still can't understand..... ' He had to stop his thoughts right there and then. Floating above him only 30 centimeters apart was a handsome young man looking like a noble and wearing a ceremonial attire fit for a prince of the historical English man of old with white hair and blue eyes while coming in and out of existence. Sheyken could not do anything and as soon as he saw him, he shut his eyes in reflex. 'What is that. It.....he came out of nowhere. I can't even move. Looking at him I felt like I was losing my mind, and it only took a second. I think if I move or attack it, I will be dead even before moving an inch.' "Aw... I almost killed you from just reviling myself to you. I had forgotten how you mortals are so fragile. It's good for both of us that you got good reflexes. Go ahead and try opening your eyes now." Sheyken could not resist the man's voice and could only do as he was told while conscious that the actions were not of his own will. Opening his eyes, he could not help but swallow a gulp of his saliva. His third leg immediately stood up, giving him a salute for his comradeship and emphasizing to him that it should take action as soon a possible. "Aw... don't you think you too young to have a test of someone so much older than you?" Sheyken did not know what to say. Whether it was the thing flouting above him that was so powerful he thought he could die by just looking at it earlier or the fact that floating above him was none other than Sarah. Wearing a silky silver slip dress, looking like it would fall off her anytime and with her eyes looking so bewitching together with every movement she made as they seem to say only one thing to the young man in a boy's body, 'TAKE ME, I AM ALL YOURS' Sheyken's mind went blank again. You could swear that a racing horse was running where his heart was supposed to be from the way it was beating. Suddenly remembering Apophis telling him that she was killed by the very same demon that killed Beak- hyun, he snapped out of the state he was in and his mind was filled with the thoughts of what he wanted to do to the demon when he found it. When he saw Sarah's figure again, she was coming in and out of existence just like the figure of the young man from before. Feeling like his soul was being pulled apart violently, he closed his eyes again and it settled down. 'Aw...kid, you just full of surprises. Maybe that's why our master is training you. You even like older women at your age. I think Tenebris would like you.' Sheyken was still feeling the otherworldly feeling of having your soul violently attack and not knowing how. "Do not fight it kid. If you fight your desires, something precious and important from you will get stolen. Just try to not look at me so much. Now come, the others sent me to get you. Follow me." 'What the hell. What the hell is this thing? How would you even start to fight it? anyways, it looks like one of Arloch's underlings. Well, just like everything here is just so powerful, if it really wanted to kill me, it already would have. Let me try and do what it says. Even so, why does Its voice have to sound like hers too.' As Sheyken calmed down, he opened his eyes and Sarah's face was still floating up above him. With his third leg nodding at his actions, he tried with all his might to ignore it. Sarah's image then floated out of the cell and went the opposite direction he would take when going to the training room. Getting up and not putting his boots on he quickly followed it from behind. 'Wait, since when have I ever started to desire Sarah. I haven't even thought of her that much since reincarnating in Uros. Is it Zararloch's statement from before? or maybe it's because he died a virgin and I don't want to follow in his footsteps? but I never even considered Sarah as someone I liked. What the hell is happening in my mind? Maybe this thing is just messing with me?' As Sheyken was thinking about all the possibilities, they finally came to a closed-door and Sarah's image just went through it. Not knowing what to do, he waited for some minutes but nothing happened. He then knocked at the door, but still, nothing happened. Deciding to be a brave little boy, he knocked one more time and opened it. The first thing he heard was laughter and it was so loud, almost like someone was laughing at the top of their voice. He got inside, shutting the door behind him but regretted it a second later. A bar was at the end of the room and with it, four entities stood there looking at him with one that looked like a Centaur with a Lion's head still laughing out loud and Zararloch on the other side of the bar sewing for some reason. Out of all the entities in the room, Zararloch's actions puzzled him the most. "Aw!.. you finally got the guts to come in kid. Come on, come take a site next to me." A black thing looking like a mature girl said while smiling and tapping the barstool next to her. Sheyken would never want to see that smile. Quickly looking around he noticed nowhere was safe from these things in front of him. With quick steps, he went past the girl and went straight to Zararloch's side. "Hey, Zara looks like you finally made a kid, who was the unlucky soul that felt so sorry for you and made you pop your cherry?" The Centaur started laughing again while almost losing its balance. It looked like its knees were giving up on it. Zararloch looked like he did not hear anything the girl said, but the material he was sewing was coming out even more perfect than the other. Sheyken next to him was feeling sorry for the guy. In a way, he could relate to him. After all, he did die a virgin on Earth. This would save as an unspoken kinship between master and student. "Hey Tenebris, if You going to take a form of a mature girl, you should at least act the part. Violentiam, stop indulging her." A groggy voice sounded out from a brownish-yellow mist. As soon as it spoke, the Centaur like creature stopped laughing and straightened its back. "Cough, cough but it's Tenebris, I told her to stop." "Aw.... Vio.... weren't you laughing your arse off and rolling on the ground a minute ago? and I am lonely.....seeing someone who just wants to lose it with a skeleton just makes me feel even lonelier. I am sure that master would find a way to satisfy Zara but isn't he aiming too high for an undead." At this point the Centaur could not take it. An all-mighty laugh rang out of the room and Sheyken had to close his ears with his fingers. He moved a step away from his master so not to associate himself with someone aiming so high in his undead life. Zararloch's sewing skills were at god level at this point. He still said nothing. "Tenebris, the kid has a test for mature ladies, maybe he can save you from the hell you going through." Sarah's voice rang out from the far side of the girl's location. Looking where the voice came from, Sheyken saw Sarah's figure sitting down holding a drink, still wearing the silky silver slip dress. Now thinking how beautiful she was, Sheyken quickly looked away. That thing was just dangerous to look at and he feared for his soul. "Kid, I'm yours. I am as mature as they come. I can be anything you want and you can have anything you want, power, fame, and glory. We can just marry under the laws and you can have everything you desire, how about it." The girl said while offering him her hand like he should put a ring on it. With that almighty pitch, the room fell quiet and Sheyken could swear even the brownish-yellow mist that did not have eyes was looking at him anticipating his answer. 'What is this b***h up to. Isn't that a pitch a devil or demon makes to you while presenting a contract which if you accept, he thereafter devours your soul while laughing devilishly.' He thought. "Thank you but I have to decline." He finally said while brushing the back of his head. Sarah's figure just shrugged its shoulders while the Centaur started laughing again while banging the table. "You and the old man are just hopeless." It finally said with its lion-like mouth. "Kid you don't know what's good for you. What can you achieve on your own? besides, you will never meet anyone as beautiful as me." The girl like creature said. Sheyken did not know what to say. If he said anything wrong, he would have an enemy instead of an unknown existence as a wife. "Kid...what do you think about our master's fight with the Neritetus?" A figure appeared out of nowhere beside Sarah's figure also holding a drink in its hand. Everything seemed to point that it was a grown mature male wearing a tuxedo if only it was not for its head. It was like that of an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers. Its eyes were blood-red with red mist living them almost like it was steam. Sheyken was about to thank whoever saved him from a scorned whatever existence until he saw the one who asked the question's face. At that moment his mind started raising. Looking at each of the things standing in front of him, he was amazed he could stand and have a conversation with them. He had to show them he could stand next to them as equals one day and that question was his ticket to them not taking him lightly. He organized his thoughts and was about to answer but was cut off by Zararloch. "Since all of you are now here and Sanguis is finally done checking every rune if it is functioning correctly, let me introduce my one and only disciple. This is Sheyken, Sheyken, that is Tenebris, Fusobacter, Violentiam, Cumfureres, and Sanguis. Treat them as you have been treating me." Zararloch said, introducing and pointing to each one of them while calling out a name. "Yes, master. Nice to meet everyone." Sheyken said while bowing. They were not impressed, especially Tenebris who was rejected while offering the world to a kid. "I asked you a question kid." Sanguis said not even looking at him. Sheyken was feeling like the world had given him a test which if he failed, he would lose not only respect but even his life if they thought of him not to be capable and that their master was wasting her time on a mortal for nothing. "The fight looked to be of two almost equal strength individuals and they each took actions that would win the battle in the fastest time while making as little damage as they could to the area around them. I am not sure about this Neritetus but I am sure that Arlo... cough, cough your master could have used wide area spells from the beginning if she wanted to. I don't think something as powerful as that Neritetus would only have one type of attack either, but it chose to use only that one. By what my master has told me about Blessings and being naturally produced by the body, even if I don't know how they are used by monsters, if I was that monster, I would have chosen to use up my attack that uses my natural power and when it is exhausted, I would then use one that uses mana while regaining the capability to use my natural attack again which would keep me on a constant attacking role during the fight since we were not using wide-area attacks. It was a draw because your master finished preparing a formidable spell but was not willing to use it." clap, clap, clap... Tenebris was clapping and smiling. "Kid come on, let's get married, or are you waiting to come of age... we were going to wait until then already so let me hear your answer when you come of age... what do you say?" Tenebris asked still not wanting to end the pursuit. Sheyken was still busking from putting such words under pressure since he was putting his sword-fighting skills in assessing the fight until he heard those words. His stomach started turning and he went tense. "You did not say why she did not attack with spells and kept on defense and why she only summoned Onine." Sanguis asked and Sheyken was so happy for the save that he promised him a drink when he gets powerful under his breath. Taking Onine as the giant just as he guessed Neritetus to be the giant snail, he tried to think of the answer. "I think it was because of the acid, they would have just melted away and she would have used mana for nothing." Zararloch was still sewing and listening but was getting tired of them. He also knew Sanguis was a perfectionist and would want precise answers, but this was his disciple and not theirs. "Wrong! except for natural matter like the ground, anything that has mana that acid touches and eats away will become fuel for it to either expend or increase its strength..." Sanguis couldn't finish his lecture. "Enough! Sanguis if you want a disciple you should go get one yourself, that is if they can handle your constant bickering about perfectionism. This one is my disciple." Sanguis's feelers started flaring around. To show them how great his student was, Zararloch decided to teach them a lesson. Especially Tenebris. He gave his disciple 7/10 points for his ever so memorable rejection of the proposal that seemed to be of desperation. "Child... show them your back." With Zararloch showing such enthusiasm as a master, Sheyken decided to do as told. As soon as he took off his shirt and turned around all hell broke loose. Putting dozens of shields to protect him from the other five murderous aurae, Sheyken while having his back turned was feeling like an ant amongst five rampaging Elephants. Making the mistake of turning around to see what was going on, he unfortunately met with Sanguis's eyes first that managed to get through Zararloch's defensive shields but was weakened. Seeing himself dying dozens of times and feeling every singly death like it was real in the split of a second their eyes met, he passed out while having a seizure. He woke up five days later feeling dazed and weak. Still remembering how many times he died and the feeling, he passed out again, this time waking up two days after. Looking up and still on his bed while not moving for about an hour, he finally managed to piece together some words. "I NEED TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE."
