Next day came with a shock for everyone .our fathers, rudra , ahil and i was present in her father's office .
"I want to marry mahika , not tanya" my words blasted a bomb on everyone's head .
Rudra got up from his chair in anger . "What the hell did you just say ? Tanya is supposed to marry you "
"I am supposed to marry singh's daughter .it wasnt declared which one "i said and turned my attention towards mahika's dad .
"Whats the problem" he asked
"I like mahika . She is perfect to be my queen" darsh said confidently .
"She doesnt even like being treated like a princess and you are talking about being a queen . She wont be able to accept it " rudra said angrily . His love for his sister could be seen clearly .
"She will learn to accept it" darsh said emotionlessly . His father and aahil were also giving his looks to back down . It wasnt going to happen , his dad didnt crossed his words infront of others .
Before rudra can argue more, his father said "we need to talk for a moment ."
Darsh left the room wity his father and ahil and let the father and son talk .
"What are you doing ? It was clear that you would marry tanya. Why are you changing the plans " aahil asked . No one wlould have dared to question him .but darsh let him because of being his friend
"You made the right decision , son . I am proud of you " darsh's father said after looking for sometime towards him .darsh smiled while looking at his father . He could see the understanding in his father's eyes .
On the other hand ,rudra said to his fahter"dad ,you cant do this to mahika . Thats what she dread the most "
"We dont have any option . This contract is really important for us , our people . Mahika will have to pay the price of being royal . I tried to give her everything she wanted . But i failed today "his father said sadly . Rudra can see the pain in his father's eye . Mahika was loved by everyone , because of her cuteness, simplicity , genorsity and humbleness .
They moved outside "we need sometime to talk to mahika ." Others nodded and left for their palace .
Mahika was standing in her balcony , when a servant came and told her that her father was asking for her .
She went inside his father's room after knocking .
"Come here , my child " she saw her father sitting on the bed . He made her sit beside him
"Mahika, you know that i try to give you everything you want" his father said while holding her hand .
" dad whats wrong ?"mahika asked while getting worried .
"Yuvraj darsh wants to marry you " mahika pulled her hand back .
"Dad, is it some kind of joke " she said while laughing nervously . But after seeing his serious face , she said "dad. I cant "she said while tears feeling her eyes .
"Mahika , i am helpless. Darsh is asking for your hand in marriage. He wasnt budging , i didnt have any option left"mahika could see the helplessness on her father's face . After sometime , she wiped her tears and said"dad ,i want to talk to him. Ask him to come here" . She left for her room after saying it .
Mahika wasnt ready to marry , especially not a royal . "I have to make him change his mind "she thought to herself while moving from here to there .
