Out From Hospital

After knowing the reason why they put up a barrier for me, I realize that I need to be more careful with my action or speech next time around. If not I would have ended in the same situation in which I was taken by law enforcement. 

“I understand now and it’s okay as there’s nothing wrong being cautious…” I said that towards the man. 

I suddenly realized that I didn’t know the way to the front desk as I had never been here before. I ask the man for directions but because it was too complicated for me, I instead ask Lucianna to guide me to the front desk. 

Lucianna agreed to guide me as we both walked to the front desk area together. Along the way, I take the chances to know about the world a bit more from Lucianna. As she seems to be friendly enough and easy to talk with. 

“Hey Lucianna, could you tell me more about this place?” I ask her that. 

“Wait! Before I tell you that, I didn’t know your name yet so do you think you could introduce yourself first…” Lucianna said that towards me. 

I forgot that I haven’t introduced myself yet to her, I guess this might be the time for it after all. Lucianna was a great helper for me and I think it’s better if I have some acquaintances in the future. As there was a time that I needed help from others in this new time period. 

“My name is Zanis and I’m sorry for not mentioning my name earlier…” I said that. 

“There’s nothing to be sorry as I was the one who walked away from the room before. If I didn’t do that, maybe you would introduce yourself back then.” 

“Okay so are we done with the introduction, could we talk about this place?” I brought up that topic again. 

“About this hospital? Sure I could tell you more…” Lucianna said that. 

Hearing that, I realized that Lucianna thought that I was mentioning this hospital. I do not want to know about this hospital as what I wanted to know more was this place, the area around the hospital. 

I guess it must be because my question was too vague and that made her confused about what I meant. I need to tell Lucianna what I really wanted to ask or she will think that I wanted to know about this hospital. 

“Ehm, I’m sorry… What I mean was about the area around the hospital, that is what I wanted to know.” I said that towards her. 

“Oh! That’s what you mean… I really thought you’re fascinated by the hospital and wanted to learn more. Still, it was rather weird as why're you wanting to know about the area, don't you live northeast of this area.” Lucianna asked me. 

The moment she asked that question, it took me straight into thinking. I believed I mentioned that I live in the northeast of the Kingdom of Telesria to her.  The way she says it tells me that I was currently in the Kingdom of Telesria. 

It looks nothing like the kingdom at all, was it because this will be how the future of Telesira Kingdom looks? But I still wasn’t sure that I am indeed in the kingdom right now, all I needed now was to ask Lucianna whether this was the Kingdom of Telesria or not. 

“You mean this area belongs to the Kingdom of Telesria?” 

“Yes, but were you saying the Kingdom of Telesria?… You know that was the old names of this place, right now this place was called Telesria City.”  

It was shocking news to know that I was currently in the Telesria Kingdom right now. Because this was the future, the name change wasn’t a big deal as it still retained the words Telesria in it. 

Knowing that this was indeed the Kingdom of Telesria. No wonder Lucianna thought it was a little weird for me to ask about this area which I told her that I live in here. 

It makes me think about whether to proceed with my questions or to make it a joke just to cover all of the things up. It took a few minutes until I made a decision about it. 

I decide to not ask Lucianna as it’s better for me to discover it myself. As asking Lucianna would just make her question a lot and it will make some of my secrets exposed to her. There’s no way I wanted to let her know I come from the past. 

As Lucianna might tell other people and somehow would make the situation worse for me. It was because I was too afraid to be put under a barrier again as I think there would be some knowledge of the past that had been lost in this timeline. Just like my timeline which we had lost some of the ancient knowledge. 

“Haha! I'm just messing with you… of course, I live here and know about this area.” I said that with forced laughter. 

“I think you really have feelings for me. You’re choosing me to guide you to the front desk and also started a conversation with a fake question just to talk with me…” Lucianna then said that towards me. 

“As I said earlier, I really don’t have feelings for you…” I said that. 

“Really, because…” Lucianna stops after realizing that we’re nearing the front desk. 

She didn’t complete her sentence as we finally had arrived at the front desk, which ended the conversation. It was because there are other people around at the front desk and it seems Lucianna didn't want to talk about it when there are other people around. 

 I then equip my steel armour back and head out from the hospital as I see a large door in front of me. I then said thanks to Lucianna and headed towards the door. 

The moment I walked out of the hospital, I could hear all of the unheard sounds coming from this place.
