Chapter 55: Flames arise

Dark and frightening surroundings, that’s how I am going to describe the surroundings I’m in right now. Screams of pain, howls of monsters, cries, and the silent sound produced by the once one how who already lost hope in their eyes. I’m brought inside an underground facility filled with cages.
The carriage stopped moving.
Monsters took us and put us on the ground. I’m the only one who seems to be a human. Two beasts, men, kids, and a small demon beast.
A thin man approached us with a smile, ear to ear. He has a long nose and is wearing a tuxedo.
He turned his gaze toward us. Inspecting every inch of our body. After the inspection, he turned his head to the spider monster with confusion.
“A human kid as a slave… I bet this kid can’t even cook. She would be useless. The only one who will buy her is an ugly scumbag who likes harassing little girls when underage… I’ll give you five hundred gold coins for everyone.”
“Just a five hundred gold coins? Mister Nux, please hear me out… warriors are great warriors when they grow up. The demon beast is also small, but this beast is a rare beast.”
“That’s the main problem here… They are all still at a young age. After buying them, I have to feed their bellies and groom them to be attractive to future buyers. It will take me six years before being able to have these goods.”
“I know I pointed but this one…” The spider pointed one of his limbs toward me.

The thin man took a knife to his waist. He slowly walked toward me and crouched down.
“Show me that you can use healing.”
He said and cut my shoulder. It was a shallow cut but it stung a lot. I’m in hell… I wanted to scream but my mouth was covered with silk.
“It won’t hurt if you heal yourself.”

Heal! Heal! Heal!
I chanted in my mind.
Light particles had accumulated on my wound. The wound closed down in a brief moment, the same as the pain.
“Marvelous… These are the goods I’m waiting for… I guess I’ll raise my offer to 2000 gold just because of this one. With the healing magic, I don’t have to suffer medicine. Her magic would be great for the slaves we’re taming.”
“Ho… Ho… Ho… Thank you very much Mister Nux. I’ll bring other goods next time.”
“You can have your paycheck to my secretary… Hey, What was that?”

“Explosions? Where is that coming from?”
“Master! An intruder is coming!”
Could it be? Hanayuki found me… She came to save me.
“... A madman with a flaming sword burned down our guards to charcoal in a second. The flames he produced… Ahhhhhhhh!”
The man reported having his body engulfed in flames. His body was already in a coal state.
It is not Hanayuki…
The shout of the man wielding the flaming sword seemed like it. Walking together with giant raging flames behind him.
Giant silver wolves were released from their prison to attack the flaming swordsman. The wolves charge forward before they can attack. The swordsman released flames that burned down the giant silver wolves. The flames eat the wolves, burning them down instantly.
“What is it with this man?”
The spider muttered in fear.
“That sword… It’s familiar to me.” Mister Nux muttered.
“ Previous member of the Red Robe terrorists…”
“You’ve done your homework… I’m indeed one of them before, but I have retired and am now a merely a business owner… I hate people intruding on my business… Earth armor Granmarg!”
Nux covered his body with armor created from soil.
“... With this your flames would be useless.”
The swordsman kicks the ground. Charging forward to Nux, thrusting his sword pierced the earth's armor. Inside the armor, blazing flames ate Nux.
“Raaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!”
“Evil people burn in flames…”
After taking down the slave trader… The flames caught the spider.
“Hots! Hots! Hots! What is this flame that won’t come off!”
“Those flames won’t die until they consume the fuel.”
“Undying flames… Raaaaaaaaaa!”
The spider monster died in flames. The slave trader's accomplices run for their lives on seeing the flaming swordsman. Another caught in flames burned down instantly. The flames destroyed everything. The flaming swordsman cut the ties on our bodies and released the slaves in prison.
Securing that we’re all in a safe location. He burned down the entire underground market.
The best man beside me had his eyes glimmering.
“So cool I want to marry him.”
“Nope, I’m the one who is going to marry him!”
Another girl protested, looking at the flaming swordsman.
Having him save them made them fall in love with him. It’s understandable… he's kinda cool though… I think…
“Thank you very much, mister swordsman… We won’t forget your heroic deed.”
“I didn’t save you… I just killed that man… If you want to survive, go back and find a safe city before the sunset.”
He replied and passed walking, ignoring our gaze of admiration on him.
We followed his advice and immediately walked our path back to the nearest city, the demon capital.
While we were on our way, the light-brown-haired girl together with a man-beast encountered us.
“Hanayuki!”
“Shaymi! Glad you’re safe.”
I jump hugning Hanayuki.
“Papa!” 2x
The two beast-men ran toward their father.
“I’m so worried after seeing those flames. What happened if I thought you were held captive by slave traders?”
Asked her father.
“We’re saved by a super cool man… He burned them all with his sword.”
Answered by the beast girl.
The father pats his daughter's head gently. Pleased to see that his daughters are back safe.
“It was a shame I didn’t get a chance to thank him.”
We immediately went back to the demon capital to finish what we needed to do. While walking on the street with a cone of ice cream in hand, I told Hanayuki the tale of how the flaming swordsman saved us.
I did it's a little exaggerated.
Traveling at night on the demon continent is a bad idea. Hanayuki and I decided to stay for a night. On the next morning, we immediately went out and bought a map to use to travel to the said beastmen tribe.
“Are you ready to go?”
“Yup, I’m ready.”
Our adventure continues.

(Inside an abandoned ship.)
“Mistress, the slave traders are destroyed… No one is left alive.”
“That’s wonderful… Wonderful to know that there is someone capable of taking down hordes of monsters all at the same time. Wonderful things have to be obtained by us.”
Audrey said while cleaning her sword.
“What are you going to do now? We can’t buy slaves any longer.”
“It is easy… We can just kidnap and make them our slaves. The best men would be the ideal ones. Strong body and strong magical resistance. Having an army of beasts would be wonderful for us. With them on our side, the legacy of our master would be fulfilled.”
Audrey turned her head toward the portrait of Princess Noah placed inside the abandoned ship.
I’ll continue her purpose… I’ll put the whole world submerged in water and create a new world with new order and law.
Audrey thought and gazed at her serious eyes reflected on her blade.
“Our next destination… Let's invade the beast men's tribe.”
Hanayuki and Audrey’s path is about to cross once again.
