Chapter 54: Shaymi is gone

Shaymi was immediately thrown inside a huge carriage. Her hands and feet were tied. Her mouth was covered with silk. Frightful, Shaymi turned her glance toward the kidnappers.
“Ho… Ho… Ho… We have got plenty of great deals between us. We have got a rare girl with holy magic and plenty of beastmen children. Selling them, we’re going to be extremely rich… Finally, I won’t be playing with those silly puppets on the streets.”
The spider monster said.
“This is all because of me… I demand a high share of the money.”
The old drunk man said as he chugged down a bottle of liquor.
Shaymi has her pupils gotten little seeing the old drunk man. Because this old man is the same man she just helped moments ago. Her kindness was replaced by evil deeds.
Did I help the wrong person?
Shaymi thought, looking at the old man.
“You’re being so demanding of a human.”
The spider said.
“What are you… Urggg…”
Silk embraced the old man’s neck. Steadily constricting down. The drunk man struggles with his life. He lost his grip on his liquor. Eventually, his turned into a violet hue, and his mouth bubbles. The struggle ended and the old man died with his eyes about to pop out of his head.
“Eating old man is not my cup of tea…”
The spider monster then tosses the body to the ground. Eventually, being a mantis-like monster.
The children are all terrified of what they just saw. The terror was enough to give trauma to one's mind.
“This is what defies anyone who defies us… If you don’t want to be eaten… Please behave. Do we have an understanding?”
The children nodded their heads hastily.
“Good… Mister Spider doesn’t dislike behaving like children.”

Where did she go? Her presence immediately vanished.
The ice cream on the cone was already melting while I ran around. I immediately ate one cone in one bite. Puts my brain in a freezing state. After the first one, I took the second one. I leaped to the rooftops, running around and searching for Shaymi.
There are lots of crowds beneath. I’m unable to see where she is. She was only gone minutes earlier. The one who took her is probably still around this area. I have to go look in dark alleys.
I ran down the alley and ran. While running, I stumbled upon three monsters and one man. The beast-man is severely wounded. He got up to try to get his weapon. The monster kicks his weapon away from him with a metallic sound.
“There is no hope for you.”
“You evil! Bring back, my children.”
“We’re demons… It’s normal to be evil…Huh? Who is this little girl supposed to be?”
The monster said, looking in my direction.
“Did you kidnap his children?”
“Yeah, so what? The dark alley in the demon capital is dangerous, you know. Going here is like going to a dungeon boss captured… You’re going to be captured too.”
The plant monster released vines, warping my entire body immediately.
“A cutie like you will sell a lot.”
I ripped out the knife I just bought earlier.
“This knife is very sharp. The sensation of cutting is very satisfying.”
I said.
“What is that knife? My vines can’t be cut by normal blades.”
I pledge to give another chance to evil people. Normally, I would move to kill evil people I saw.
This is very stressful. If I broke my promise, I'd be unable to use my holy magic anymore.

I took my adventurer card with me and presented that I’m already an S-class adventurer. The monster was shocked to see my card. A brief second had passed, they replied:

The two monsters, except for the plant monster, were immediately affected by my paralyzing magic. My lighting magic wasn’t very effective at planting types. I have to do something for this plant monster.
I put my finger on my chin and thought. While I was suddenly at it, suddenly it got dark. A giant shadow loomed over my body.
“Behind you!”
The man shouted to warn them.
I leaped forward and turned my eyes to the one who had just attacked me from behind. The concrete flooring was destroyed with one punch. Lifting my gaze, the fist was owned by a cockroach monster.
A cockroach with a super red muscular body.
I hate cockroaches and now a giant is in front of me.
Disgusted, looking at its face, I moved at lightning speed to its back to sever his wings. His reaction was too fast. He immediately swung his arms.
“Lightning punch!”
I intercepted his arm with my fist. We both unleashed similar strengths.
Cockroach stretched his other arms, reaching my body. Pulling me and smashing me into the concrete wall on the side. He used one hand to press me against the wall and used his other limbs to deliver a continuous punch. Each punch-packed power destroys the wall completely.
On the other side was a restaurant. The customers immediately run away after seeing the cockroach in havoc.
“Still not dead.”
“Lightning kick!”
I kicked him up to his chin. In my right hand, I conjured a lightning blade to cut down the hand, grabbing my head. When I escaped, I immediately went into the distance of him. Jumping backward toward the top of a table.
“Lightning shock!”
The cockroach flies at high speed, dodging my lightning.
I hate flying cockroaches!
“Over limit: Lightning speed!”
Moving faster than a cockroach is probably the only way to defeat him.
I grasped his immediately and was about to cast a lightning shock before I had my magic cast. He severed his limb and threw me toward the sky.
“Sunrise beam!”
A red-hot laser fired from his head toward my direction. While airborne, I’m unable to move my body. If this continues, the laser will penetrate my body.
I clap my two hands, exploding and exploding like magic. Using the force created, I’m able to adjust my body, dodging the laser completely.
“Heavenly lightning spear!”
A huge bolt of lightning came falling on the cockroach's location, destroying the side of the restaurant completely. The restaurant rumbles and the owner and chefs are already crying in buckets.

When the cloud of dust disappeared, I noticed that I was missing. Searching around rotating my vision. A heavy thing smacked my head down to the ground.
The cockroach followed up with a heavy body slam.
“ Humans can’t compete with monsters.”
“Really?”
“What the?”
I grabbed his head and headbutted his forehead as hard as I could.
While his world is spinning around. I put my hand on his shoulder and cast:
“Paralyzing shock!”
I paralyzed the cockroach monster and threw its unconscious body to the ground. The beastman re-took his weapon and his saber pointed toward the plant monster's neck. I stepped on the cockroach's head and glared at the plant monster with gleaming eyes.
“Hey… Plantman… You’re going to spill the beans or chop you from my salad.”
“Y-Yes… Ma’am…”
Terrified, the plant demon immediately bowed his head for forgiveness and told me everything I wanted to hear. Of course, I’m not going to kill him. I’m just bluffing.
After questioning, I called the guard and threw these criminals into their respective jails.
As I suspected, these monsters are with the people who kidnapped Shaymi. I was told that their hideout is in the mountains near the capital city. The kidnapped kids are planned to be sold as slaves.
The guard told me that they would get an immediate response from the criminals, but a part of me can’t just wait in a safe location while Shaymi is probably suffering at the hands of the slave traders.
I immediately ran to exit the city toward the mountains. The beast-man came with me with a huge saber on his back.
“ You are still severely wounded. You should go back to the hospital.”
“Like hell would I do that… My children are in trouble. As the father was supposed to protect his children at all costs. It even kills me.”
He was a great father figure. I never remember my father. I don’t have any recollection of what it is like to have a father.
“Are you saving your little sister?”
“Yeah, something like that…”
I can’t forgive myself if something bad is going to happen to her. Shaymi, please be safe before I get there.
