Chapter 89: Magical punch

This disguise is useless. Players who find me still go to attack. Seems like there is more to the rules of this death game. I tried to break the barrier again but it wasn’t destroyed no matter how powerful magic I used.
Expected to be a special barrier.
“What are the rules of this game, anyway?”
I muttered.
Before my eyes, a teruteru bouzu (Shin shin monk) appeared with a poof. On its hand was a tone with a rule written on it.
“Death game rules… Death game rules…” It said in a machine-like voice.
Death game rules:
1. Earn points by killing other players trapped on the island. The top players who earned the most would be chosen.
2. Killing a non-player character earns a player 10 points.
3. Trying to go outside is futile. But entering from outside is allowed. Once a person enters the area of the barrier, they will be considered a player.
4. If a player doesn’t kill anyone within 24 hours, their body will be subject to poison and suffocation.
5. Players killed will have their points transferred to the one who killed them.
6. Stopping the game could only be done by defeating the game master or by participating and surviving until the end. (The game would last for seven days.)
7. Let's have fun together.
“What did she mean by letting’s have fun together?”
According to the rules, if I didn’t kill anyone within 24 hours, I would be subject to poison and suffocation. That is another term for death, isn’t it?
There is no way I would kill anyone in this game. I already made my promise that I won’t kill anyone ever again. There is nothing good that will occur with killing after all.
I could solve this by defeating Audrey the game master. I already know her location, which means all I have to do is reach her and give her some good beating.
I only have less than 24 hours to defeat Audrey. Or else it would be game over for me.
“Found a player… Your cursor said zero. That means you’re unable to kill anyone since the game started. That would be very bad. If you didn’t kill you end up dying with poison instead.”
A man with a spear on his back appeared.
“Who are you?”
“Since I’m the one killing you, giving you my name would not hurt… The name is Nash. How about you?”
“Hanayuki.”
“Hanayuki… That’s a weird name, probably from the eastern continent. I heard people in that country have very weird names.”
Nash kicked off the ground, and he swung his spear. I dodged the place where the spear was swung and got closer to him with my lightning fist.
Hit him directly with my fist. Suddenly, the area was stopped for a second. On hearing something falling.
“Seven.”
The time moved on and my fist didn’t do any damage to him.
“?!”
“It's my turn now!”
Nash knocked me with the bottom handle of the spear. Like before, time had stopped. This time I was able to see the thing that had fallen to the ground.
“Heavy thrust!”
A pair of dice…
“Eight!”
“Luck is on my side!”
The simple thrust turned my stomach up. The overwhelming power made my body blow away and crash down on the rocky wall.
“This is my support ability… The grace of dice! Every time I attack, time stopped to roll the dice. It can’t be stopped while you’re inside my territory. My attack power would be multiplied by the number that appeared on the dice. The ability has a different effect on my opponent. When my opponent attacks, dice will roll. It divides the opponent's attack power by the number shown. Earlier, when you attacked me, your attack power was divided by 7. The struggle is futile… No matter what you do, your attack power will be divided. Plus, you are someone who can’t kill, right? I, who have killed 20 players already, will not hesitate in killing a little brat like you.”
That was one of the most cheat-like abilities I ever heard of in my entire life.
I clenched my fist and went for another lightning punch.
But my hand wasn’t covered by magic. It's not that I failed to cover my fist with magic.
I can’t use my magic. I tried activating lightning speed and a similar thing happened.
“I can’t use my magic…”
“This is the extension of my ability… When two players roll dice. The one with the highest number of results would be the only one who can attack with magic. The other party can’t use magic. Every time I attack with magic, a dice will roll… If my attack goes lower than 7… That was the only time you could use magic again. But when I roll the dice, my result is higher than yours. Yours unable to use magic again.”
I got 7 and he got 8… I couldn’t use magic for a while. 7 is quite high. Maybe I could get my turn after his attack.
Nash threw a grenade directly toward me. I immediately leaped away, rolling to avoid the explosion.
There are no dice rolled.
“Dice will only be rolled when he makes a magical attack. This guy sure knows how to use his ability.”
He dashes forward thrusting the tip of his spear toward me. I keep on rolling on the ground, avoiding every strike he makes.
Without magic, my body would be quite flexible. My small frame and agility make me hard to hit.
I grabbed some soil while rolling and threw it toward his face. Disturbing him. I rose to go for a kick in his face. He avoided my kick and went straight on, grabbing my feet.
“Catch you! Looking closely, you have a cute face.”
“Let me go! p*****t!”
“You’re wearing shorts under your skirt… How am I a p*****t?!”
I curled my fist and went for a punch.
“A punch from a little girl. A thousand punches from you won’t do any harm to me.”
He confidently said.
I go straight and punch him with all of my strength. My fist went into his face, crushing some of his teeth. His hand was taken off from my feet, giving me back my freedom.
This is one of the reasons why you should not look down on your opponent.
Don’t let appearances fool you.
“My nose… My perfect nose is disfigured… My mother used to tell me how beautiful my nose is… You’re going to pay for this.”
After regaining my freedom, I ran toward him and had my hand ready for a punch.
“Magical!”
“She’s using magic? That can’t be. She is still in my territory under my ability. She was not supposed to use magic.”
“Magical Punch!”
I go straight, kicking his balls.
His skin immediately turned blue after a loud c***k was heard.
“That is not even a punch… Aaaaaahhhh….”
“That’s what makes it magical.”
After being able to knock him out, I was about to regain back my magic.
Seems like his ability was undone after one of his balls went missing.
I channeled my magic on my right fist while standing in front of Nash, who was unable to stand up.
The glow of my right-hand covered with lightning magic enveloped him.
“Have a taste of this! Lightning punch!”
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!”
Nash made a last resort scream.
My fist hit his face, disfiguring his face further. He's still breathing in the end at least.
I have lots of criminals to take over to prison after this game. That will include Audrey, of course.
His ability is very good. I thought I was going to be defeated by him because I’m unable to use magic. If he hadn't underestimated me. He will probably have a chance of winning.
“Time to go straight to the castle.”
Before I leave the scene,
“Wait for me!”
I heard a girl’s voice behind me.
As I turned around, I saw the girl who was with us. I believe her name to be…
“Dodo.”
“It’s Toto… My name is Toto… You’re Hanayuki, right? I’m glad I’m able to meet someone. I really thought everyone had already died from the attack earlier. Unfortunately, the dragon rider in front of me also died from the attack.”
The same had happened to her.
My time being with Gila is very short, but it still saddens me that I wasn’t able to save her during that time.
Toto walked toward the man I knocked out.
“He an opponent. I knocked him down first… I will take him to jail after this game.”
I said.
Toto took a dagger from her waist and thrust it deep into Nash's throat.
“What are you doing?!” I yelled.
“This is the only way to survive… I want to go home. Someone like me would not be able to defeat someone like Audrey. I need to gain more points in order to survive.”
Toto explained with a downcast expression on his face.
