Chapter 91: Awakened

Hanayuki stretched her arms upward as if she had just gotten up from her bed.

“It’s been a while since I was awakened… So this is how everything looks now. But completely taking over this body is still impossible for me. This body is not my body anymore after all.”

Toto’s arms were severed and re-grew back to normal in a few seconds.

“... A hybrid of a human and a demon. You’re lucky… Want to join me? I want to rewrite the world like the world where I came from. I want to be an actress again, doing movies and more. It’s so fun to be so popular. I mean fortune just followed me… I’m so cute everyone loves me.”

“What are you talking about? Popular? Actress? Movies? What are those?”

“A world without movies… This world truly sucks. I want to go back to my real life.”

Toto made a few steps backward and immediately followed her back in the distance away from Hanayuki.

She could not explain why her body moved on its own. More like an instinct.

A prey has encountered her predator. The bunny would naturally jump away from a giant wolf.

“I can’t join you… I have to go.”

“But you’re telling me something about introducing me to this Audrey, right? Would you please escort me to her? I would like to rip apart the angel's ability inside of her. I would need it to re-create the world in my vision.”

“Audrey will create a cataclysm resetting the world for the better. What kind of world are you going to create?”

“I already told you… I want a world with movies and I’ll be an actress. You look so anxious…”

Toto threw the dagger in her hand as fast as she could, going straight to Hanayuki’s neck.

Hanayuki noticed her blocking the dagger with her. The dagger skewered her arm. The dagger glows in red.

“Explosion!”

The word triggers the dagger to create an explosion right before Hanayuki’s eyes.

The explosion wasn’t enough to defeat the person feared by many for hundreds of years. Hanayuki’s right arm was destroyed and half of her body got burned.

“Sacred healing…”

Hanayuki’s body was enveloped with golden light. Her wounds and burns immediately disappeared and her right arm, which exploded into small bits, was restored.

Toto was astonished at the miracle she was seeing. Hanayuki was no demon like Toto. Healing only heals wounds, not regenerates body parts.

“That wasn’t a smart move to do… Dodo?”

“It's Toto… I don’t have any plan on being your buddy. My instinct just keeps on telling me how dangerous you are.”

“Then, why attack?”

In Toto’s country, they are always taught to fight back, no matter how dangerous a monster appears in front of them. They are raised to be hunters. In their mind, they are predators.

The feeling she’s feeling right now is very foreign to her. She knew that she was feeling fear.

“If you fear something, you must destroy the source of that fear.”

This was the idea brought to Toto. The reason she threw her dagger even knowing Hanayuki was far stronger.

Toto takes another dagger and throws it at Hanayuki. Hanayuki avoided the dagger, knowing the possibility of it exploding. In an instant, Toto appeared right behind Hanayuki.

“Teleportation… You have a nice set of skills.”

Toto and Hanayuki go into close-quarter combat with each other. Hanayuki also took a dagger to protect herself from her opponent. They keep on throwing slashes at each other, but no one has taken heavy damage.

Toto, as a demon hybrid, can regenerate immediately after being cut. Hanayuki, meanwhile, uses her powerful healing magic. Ever since close combat started, only Toto had been being cut down and her dagger had not reached Hanayuki.

Hanayuki stopped on the ground, building a hump to interrupt Toto’s balance. After, she rotated her body for a kick directly to Toto’s side.

Her strength is unreal…

Toto could see her ribs cracking down. A surge of pain came across her body. And then, blowing her away to the ground down to the swallow river stream.

Hanayuki made a shape as if she was holding a bow and arrow. Standing straight while aiming, she manifested a long arrow made of wind.

The arrow was then fired at full speed at Toto. The landscape was carved and the thick tall trees in line were shaved as a result. Toto was lucky that he was able to use her teleport magic to avoid Hanayuki’s magical arrow.

“I went overboard… It's been many years awhile… I want to play with my magic more. Keep on dodging or else you know what will happen… Next, I’ll use this one.”

Hanayuki flicked her finger, creating a giant fireball above Toto. The fireball resembles a meteorite. The fireball crashed down, burning a vast part of the forest.

The magic can be seen from Magic, far away.

“What was that?”

Said the black-hooded man.

Sitting on the throne behind him was Audrey.

“She’s killing lots of lots of players… It’s wonderful.”

Toto withstands the firepower by protecting herself with twenty layers of barrier around her. She can’t teleport because of her ability cooldown period, which was about two minutes.

The fear she’s feeling intensifies as long as she keeps on facing Hanayuki.

I have to survive or else my people will die in that land. I have to survive and bring honor back to my land. I have to survive…

Toto thought and she grinned.

“... But this is fun… Too much fun.”

Her mind is telling her to run away as fast as she can, but her body wants to fight. This feeling of fighting someone stronger than her. If she wins, she will feel incredibly good. The pleasure her body is seeking.

Toto took an item card from her pocket. After activation, two bags full of daggers appeared. From above she threw the daggers at rapid speed all around Hanayuki.

“There is nowhere to go for you! Explosion!”

Toto triggered the explosive dagger all at the same time. Swallowing the sunlight for a second, drying the sky red. Shock waves and brief magnitude occurred around the area.

“That was great… We just destroyed the forest… When I was working as an actress, I often donated money to save the rainforest. I feel kinda bad about this.”

Hanayuki appeared standing right above Toto’s head.

“That explosion is so big it will toast my body and brain. Killing me as a result. Too bad, I was able to use teleportation magic. My magic is too vast for you. From the start, there is a concrete winner between the two of us.”

Hanayuki said and stomped Toto’s head down on the blazing ground.

The strength dug a crater hole, burying Toto’s head.

“Still alive? I’m impressed.”

With the last ounce of Toto’s strength, she took a straw doll and used a dagger to stab its body.

“Resonance!”

Hanayuki’s body and chest exploded with blood.

“When did you?”

“I win!”

Toto shouted in celebration.

Inside Toto’s imagination. Hanayuki had lost because of ignorance. Hanayuki knew she was stronger. She let her guard down.

In complete irony.

Toto is about to lose because of the same ignorance.

Hanayuki made a grim smile, looking down at Toto. Her chest was holed open and her heart completely destroyed.
